Purpose:By investigating and understanding the quality of life of parents of children with asthma as their caregivers, analyzing the influencing factors of the quality of life of caregivers, constructing the influencing factors model of the quality of life of parents of children with asthma,in order to provide theoretical support for parents of children with asthma to make targeted plans and interventions and improve their quality of life.Method:This study used a cluster sampling method to select eligible 4-10 year old asthmatic children and their family caregivers as a research object in a third-grade Class A women’s and children’s hospital in Chengdu to conduct a questionnaire survey. In the survey,a newer measurement tool, the Family Impact of Childhood Bronchial Asthma Revised(IFABI-R),was used to measure the quality of life of caregivers of asthmatic children and make necessary revisions. The better the quality, the classic European Five-Dimensional Health Scale(EQ-5D)is also used to measure the quality of life of caregivers. In the child and caregiver background questionnaire, the Chinese-Childhood Asthma Control Test(C-CACT)was used to measure the asthma control of the child, and the Social Outcomes Study Social Support Survey(MOS-SSS)measures the social support of caregivers.Data analysis mainly includes reliability and validity test, descriptive analysis, single factor analysis, correlation analysis, linear regression analysis. At the same time,EQ-5D and IFABI-R are used as outcome variables, and the determinant model of healthy society is used as the theoretical framework to compare the model accuracy of LASSO linear regression and stepwise regression(MAE,MAPE,MSE index evaluation model prediction accuracy)Analyze and screen out the main factors that affect the quality of life of parents of children with asthma.Result:1.Reliability and validity analysis shows that the revised Cronbach’αcoefficient of the Children’s Asthma Family Impact Questionnaire(FABI-R)is0.729;the three factors extracted by exploratory factor analysis are basically the same as the three dimensions of the source scale The same;the correlation coefficient between each factor is 0.486 ~ 0.606(p <0.01),and the correlation coefficient between each factor and the total score is 0.746 ~ 0.860(p <0.01).2.Correlation analysis results show that IFABI-R total quality of life score and EQ-5D quality of life index have a significantly low degree of positive correlation(r = 0.31,p <0.01),the function, emotional and social dimensions of IFABI-R scale and EQ-5D quality of life indexes are positively correlated to varying degrees(r =0.16,r = 0.25,r = 0.36,p <0.01);and the total IFABI-R quality of life score is only related to anxiety in the five dimensions of the EQ-5D scale / Depression dimension is negatively correlated(r =-0.36,p <0.01);IFABI-R scale function, emotion and social dimensions are only negatively correlated with the anxiety / depression dimension in EQ-5D(r =-0.22,r =-0.31.r =-0.40,p <0.01).3.Regression analysis using IFABI-R quality of life score as the dependent variable showed that the LASSO model and the stepwise regression model screened out 8 and 15 statistically significant influencing factors, respectively;the evaluation indicators of the MAE,MAPE,and MSE models showed that the LASSO regression model The evaluation indicators are better than the stepwise regression model,so the LASSO linear regression model is finally selected to screen the factors that affect the quality of life of IFABI-R as asthma control score, social support, the age of the child, the number of allergic diseases, whether there are older children, family income, duration of illness, economic burden of family disease.Regression analysis using the EQ-5D life quality index as the dependent variable shows that the LASSO model and the stepwise regression distribution screen out 4 and 6 statistically significant influencing factors. The prediction accuracy of the LASSO model is slightly better than the stepwise regression model,so Finally, the LASSO linear regression model was selected to screen the factors affecting the quality of life of EQ-5D as asthma control status, caregiver gender, father’s occupation, and family disease economic burden. Conclusion:The Chinese version of the Children ’s Asthma Family Impact Questionnaire(IFABI-R)has high reliability and validity and is an effective measurement tool for the quality of life of parents of asthmatic children.Compared with the Universality Scale(EQ-5D),the Family Impact Questionnaire of Asthma Children(IFABI-R)can comprehensively assess the quality of life of caregivers of children with asthma.Secondly, the simultaneous LASSO linear regression and stepwise regression methods are used for variable selection.Through comparative analysis, the final model obtained by the LASSO method for selecting variables is better. Then, for different measurement tools, the factors that affect the quality of life of parents are different.Under the linear regression analysis of the two measurement tools LASSO,the asthma control score and the economic burden of family disease are consistently shown to be two strong influencing factors for the quality of life of caregivers;EQ-5D also reflects two other influencing factors, including the sex of the caregiver Father’s occupation;IFABI-R also reflects six other influencing factors, including social support, the age of the child, the number of allergic diseases, whether there are older children, family income, and duration of illness. Finally, this article proposes specific recommendations for improving the quality of life of parents of asthmatic children in terms of asthma control and management level, social medical security system, social support system, and caregiver care model.
