Objective:This study is based on an investigation and analysis of oral symptoms between SS patients and normal control group.Analyze and describe whether SS cause oral symptoms and other oral complications. To provide clinical basis for the prevention.Methods:61 SS patients and age, gender matched 67 health physical people without systemic disease were healthy,oral examination and record were conducted in two groups.All patients were examined clinically under artificial light and by use of plane mirrors and other instruments.And then compared the difference between SS patients and healthy people about dental caries,periodontal related disease and other complication.The relativity between salivary flow rate and decayed-missing-filled teeth(DMFT) value in patients with SS were analyzed.Statistical analysis of monitoring data was conducted by SPSS 20.0software.Results:1.SS group oral mucosal diseases and other oral complications prevalence rate was higher than the control group(P < 0.001);2.The caries prevalence rate of SS patients was observably higher than those in the control group(P<0.001), and DMFT index was also significantly higher than the control group(P<0.001);3.Without obvious correlation was appeared between the DMFT index and the salivary flow rate(P>0.05);4.Without Statistical difference of the periodontal disease pervalence rate between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusions:1.SS patients are more easily accumulated oral problems and other oral complication;2.SS patients are the high- risk population of suffering the caries with more serious degree;3.SS patients with higher DMFT index not only caused by saliva flow rate decrease, but also could be the result of comprehensive effect and other related factors;4. SS group of patients with periodontal diseases had no correlation with SS.
