Purpose:Vitamin D is essential fat-soluble vitamins, that the important substances of body system. To discuss the relationship between simple obesity and normal weight children about serum 25-Hdroxyvitamin D concentration in School-age children, and the relationship between glucose and lipid metabolism in this study.Methodology:Eighty-five children with obese and 62 healthy children with normal weight who were hospitalized in the Children’s Hospital of Jiangxi province from June 2013 to January 2014 were selected as obese group and control group, 35 children were selected as mild-to-moderate obese group and 50 children were selected as severely obsess group in 85 children with obese, among 6~14 years old children. It was measured physical by professional. The Serum 25-Hdroxyvitamin D and fasting insulin and serum cortisol, C peptide were determined by CLIA, Biochemistry index was assayed by automatic chemistry analysis.Result:1.The 25(OH)D concentration in mild-to-moderate obese[( 55.64±19.00)nmol/L]and severely obese children[(52.36±13.45)nmol/L] were lower compared to control group [(69.87±16.36)nmol/L](P<0.05),the 25(OH)D concentration in mild-to-moderate obese and severely obese children were indiscriminate(P>0.05).2.The 25(OH)D concentration was inversely related with BMI(r=-0.456,P=0.000), BMISDS(r=-0.453,P=0.000).3. The triglyceride level in obese children with serum 25(OH)D≤50nmol/L[( 1.97±0.40) mmol/L] was higher than that in obese children with 25(OH)D >50nmol/L[(1.53±0.60)mmol/L](P<0.05).4.The 25(OH)D concentration was inversely related with triglyceride level in obsess children( r=-0.329,P=0.002).The serum 25(OH)D concentration was not statistically significant with blood total cholesterol and low density lipoprotein cholesterol, high density lipoprotein cholesterol, fasting blood glucose, insulin, hemoglobin A1 c, free fatty acid in obese children(P>0.05).Conclusion:1、The 25(OH)D concentration in obese children are lower than those in normal weight children, the 25(OH)D concentration was inversely related with height and BMISDS,which imply that 25(OH)D may be a risk factor of obesity.2、The triglyceride level in obese children with serum 25(OH)D≤50nmol/L was higher than that in obese children with 25(OH)D > 50nmol/L, the 25(OH)D concentration was inversely related with triglyceride level in obsess children, which imply that 25(OH)D may be a risk factor of dyslipidemia.
