Objective : To explore the application and effect of micro suture in clinical diseases of larynx.Method : Selected 60 patients with benign lesions in larynx, among them, 33 cases the Reinke’s edema(type III, whole vocal cord), 20 cases of vocal cord cyst, 4 cases of bilateral vocal cord paralysis, 2 cases of laryngeal adhesion, glottic insufficiency in 1 cases. The former two kinds of diseases randomly selected as suture group and non suture group, were undergone lesion resection in general anaesthesia with laryngoscope, micro suture technology was used intraoperatively on the suture group for the wound. Postoperatively, followed with examinations of Strobe laryngoscope 、 Electronic laryngoscope, the morphology of vocal cord has been observed, subjective rating and objective analysis of voice have been done with voice GRBAS and voice handicap index(VHI).Last three kinds of diseases have no matched control groups for small number of examples.Result : patients in the Reinke’s edema and vocal cyst were checked at different time points after surgery by strobe laryngoscope and electronic laryngoscopy. Found that vocal cord movement and mucosal wave after suture were nearly normal, vocal form is obviously better than that without suture(non suture group). subjective rating and objective analysis of voice displayed, voice quality of suture group was obviously improved than non suture group, and there is significant difference. Patients of bilateral vocal cord paralysis, tracheal cannula were removed 3 months after resection of unilateral arytenoid. Patients of throat adhesion were followed up for 3-6 months, finding no obvious adhesion, and throat discomfort symptoms disappeared. Hoarseness on patients postoperative 3 months of vocal cord filling operation has improved, one side filling was missing, slight improvement on glottal closure compared with that before. Conclusion : Application of micro suture technology in laryngeal operation is propitious to throat structural integrity and preventing local adhesion, helps to improve the voice quality and the operation effect.
