Objective To analyze the characteristics of voice changes in patients after thyroidectomy,and to study the effect of early voice training on patients with abnormal voice after thyroidectomy.Methods A total case of 60 patients with thyroid tumor(12 male,48female)who underwent lobe resection of thyroid glands or total thyroidectomy between December 2019 and November 2020 were selected from the Department of Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery,People’s Hospital of Hunan Province,intraoperative regular dissection of the laryngeal recurrent nerve were intact,same day laryngostroboscope and frequency and electronic dyeing imaging was done preoperatively and on the day when drainage tube was withdrawn,voice acoustic analysis examination,average fundamental frequency in patients before and after surgery,jitter,shimmer,MPT,minimum sound intensity and maximum tone changes were analyzed,and divided 42patients(male 8 cases,Female 34 cases)who experienced subjective postoperative voice change into the voice training group and the control group based on their wlingness.The voice training group of 23 patients(4male and 19 female)started standard voice training treatment after drainage tube withdrawn,and the control group of 19 patients(4 male and 15 female)received no voice training treatment for comparison,fundamental frequency on the same day of drainage tube withdrawn,jitter,shimmer,MPT,minimum sound intensity and maximum tone changes of two groups were observed for comparison.Results The fundamental frequency,MPT,maximum tone of female patients after thyroidectomy were decreased(P < 0.05)and jitter,shimmer,minimum sound intensity,VHI,SAS were increased(P < 0.05)compared to preoperative values,the average frequency,maximum tone of male patients were decreased(P < 0.05),shimmer,VHI were increased(P < 0.05)compared to preoperative values,jitter,MPT,minimum sound intensity,SAS value comparison differences had no statistically significant relationship(P > 0.05).The average frequency,MPT,maximum tone(P < 0.05)of female patients from the voice training group increased,shimmer,minimum sound intensity,VHI,SAS are decreased(P < 0.05)compared to preoperative values,jitter value comparison differences had no statistically significant relationship(P >0.05).The average frequency,jitter,shimmer,MPT,minimum sound intensity,maximum tone,VHI,SAS value comparison differences had no statistically significant relationship(P > 0.05).Conclusion Under the precondition of anatomy of recurrent laryngeal nerve remain contact after thyroidectomy,there are still many patients with subjective voice abnormality,and objective indicators of voice acoustic analysis also have varying degrees of changes.Early voice training treatment plays a positive role in the recovery of vocal quality of patients who experienced voice abnormality after thyroidectomy. |
