Objective: To investigate the clinical value of Ultrasound combined with CA125 in the early diagnosis of epithelial ovarian cancer. Methods: Carrying out a retrospective study of 124 epithelial ovarian cancer treated in Guizhou Provincial people’s hospital from January 2010 to June 2014,the relative information was analyzed by statistics. Results: According to the operation pathological staging of ovarian malignant tumor(FIGO,2014),epithelial ovarian cancer stage I 46 cases,II 14 cases,III 54 cases,IV 10 cases, the serum CA125 level increased significantly in all these stages( >35U/ml),the positive rates were 52.17%,64.29%,90.74%,100% respectively. The CA125 level of late stages(III-IV) was significantly higher than that of early stages(I-II)(p<0.05).Serum CA125 was positive in 92 cases, the total positive rate was 74.19%.The level of serum CA125 in ovarian mucinous carcinoma and clear cell carcinoma also increased, but are not significant. In the early stages, the positive rate of serum CA125 is relatively low, indicating single CA125 test in the screening of epithelial ovarian cancer having certain limitations. The ultrasonic examination revealed 81 cases of epithelial ovarian cancer, the positive rate was 65.32%,Ovarian cancer was not easily diagnosed only by ultrsound.Ultrasound combined with CA125 detection results, the positive rate was 91.94%,indicating the combination can significantly improve the positive rate of diagnosis of epithelial ovarian cancer( p<0.05).In 7 patients showed cystic or mixed masses by preoperative ultrasonography,no obvious signs of ovarian cancer, suggestive of benign tumors or inflammatory lesions, but the detection of abnormal CA125( > 35U/ml), postoperative pathology confirmed 3 cases of serous carcinoma,4 cases of mucinous carcinoma, all in early stages. Conclusion: 1.Serum CA125 level increased in patients with epithelial ovarian cancer, and increased with the later stages. The level of serum CA125 in ovarian mucinous carcinoma and clear cell carcinoma also increased, but are not significant.2.Ultrasound combined with serum CA125 detection, can improve the early diagnosis of ovarian cancer.
