The Clinical Value Of Repeat Transurethral Resection In Non-muscle Invasive Bladder Cancer

Objective:To discuss the treatment significance of R-TURBT for non-muscle-invasive bladder tumours.Methods:20 cases of non-muscle-invasive bladder tumours patients were treated by TURBT.6 cases were Ta stage,14 cases were T1 stage.Patients were treated by R-TURBT in 2-6 weeks after TURBT, compared the tumor tissue pathology from each operation.For instance,the residual tumor,the number of tumor and the stage of tumor.The situation of tumor recurrence and progression were evaluate by the the followed up date of survival rate,tumor recurrence and tumour progression.Results:Result:The pathological results shows that 4 cases were found tumor residual(20%).The pathological results from TURBT shows that 6 cases of Ta stage,and pathological results from R-TURBT shows 4 cases were negative for tumor,1 case were moved to T1 stage(16.7%) and 1 case were same stage with former rusults(16.7%).The pathological results shows that 14 cases of T1 stage,after R-TURBT,12 cases of negative for tumor,1 case of Ta stage and 1 case of T2 stage.Patients were followed up for3-24 months,average time:11.4 months.2 cases were recurrence 3 months after the operation(10.0%),1 case was recurrence 15 months after the operation(5.0%) and there were 3 cases of tumour progression and 3 cases of R-TURBT.Conclusion: R-TURBT has important significance for radical resection of tumor tissue, delay the tumor recurrence and determinat the tumor stage,and it can help to choose treatment and evaluate prognosis.For patients of non-muscle-invasive multiple T1 stage bladder tumours,R-TURBT afer TURBT can reduce tumor recurrence, delaying the progress of tumor, improve the quality of life of patients.
