Preliminary Study On The Types Of Distribution Of The Factors Related To Short Stature Children And Constitution Types

Objective:Investigating the factors related to short stature in children and the TCM constitution type situation was to provide the basis for prevention of short stature.Methods: This study used questionnaire and Medical history and physical information was collected by specially trained physicians, all information by clinicians truthfully fill in the unity, after filling for careful review, verification of information integrity, and will collect baseline data and body mass data input Excel software, the double input and proofreading by SPSS statistical software for statistical analysis, the relevant data were analyzed by descriptive analysis of inspection, test and Wilcoxon rank sum test and logistc regression analysis.Results:1.This study included a total of 207 cases, partial short stature group(104 cases) and normal group of 103 patients, including 120 cases with boys, accounted for 58%(partial short stature group of 59 cases of normal group 61 cases), 87 cases of girls, 42%(partial short stature group of 45 cases of normal group 42 cases), male: female was about 1: 0.72, by checking that P > 0.05, two groups of gender no statistical difference. 2.This study enrolled 207 cases, four age groups, the rank and inspection P > 0.05, the two groups have no significant differences. 3. Ten kinds of binary variables of 12 kinds related factors tested by chi square test, showing that whether the rule of protein for breakfast, whether the law, whether the picky eaters, the sleep time in the morning and evening, secondhand smoke contact history, whether the deviation from the target height(P < 0.05), there is significant difference; between the two groups in the mode of delivery, is less than gestational age, whether there is disorder, sleep time by chi square test, P > 0.05, two groups does not exist significant differences. 4.Two factors of parenting and eating snacks tested by Wilcoxon rank sum test, P < 0.05, there was significant difference. 5.The 8 relative factors entered into logistc regression analysis. The results showed that no regularity of protein, breakfast is the law, night sleep time in the morning and evening, secondhand smoke exposure history were tall and too short of children the risk factors, the advantage than 0.001, 0.029, 58.495, 11.662. 6. The physical distribution between short stature group and normal group tested by Chi square test,showing that lung and spleen deficiency, spleen wet Sheng qualitative differences are significant(P < 0.05), the remaining five types of constitution difference no significant difference(P > 0.05). 7.There was difference between whether the laws of statistical protein, second-hand smoke exposure history and lung spleen asthenia(P < 0.05);Sleeping at night time with heart and liver Wang physical existed the statistical difference(P < 0.05),;but the breakfast was law and six biased constitution did not exist significant difference(P > 0.05)Conclusion:1.There was no difference in sex and age between short stature children and the normal group; 2. The risk factors about short stature children was whether the rule of protein, breakfast whether rules, the second-hand smoke contact history, and sleeping at night time. 3.There was no relevantion between small for gestational age, mode of delivery, the existence of sleep disorders, sleep time and short stature, and there was no obvious correlation btween sleep disorders and whether sleep time is greater than 9 hours,which may be related to the cases in the younger age group. 4. The lung and spleen deficiency was the main type of constitution in short stature children’s physique typ; 6.There was relevantion between whether the laws of statistical protein, second-hand smoke exposure history and lung spleen asthenia and between Sleeping at night time with heart and liver Wang physical,which could guid clinical.
