The Clinical Research On Electro Acupuncture Plus Swallow Treatment Apparatus In Treating Deglutition Disorders After Stroke

Objective: We use the method of electro-acupuncture combined with swallow treatment apparatus to treat swallow obstacle after acute cerebral stroke, and then establish the best treatment according to the treatment effects of all the treatment groups we observed.Method: 216 cases of swallow obstacle after acute cerebral stroke who met for the inclusion standards were randomly allocated into three groups by 1:l:1 ratio:the integrated group, the Electro acupuncture group and the Swallow Treatment Apparatus group. Three groups were given routine treatments for the Cerebral Apoplexy, hypertension, diabetes, and others related diseases. The treatment time of the three methods was 1 time/d, 6 times/week and three weeks was a course of treatment. we used the Kubota’s water drinking test and SSA as the observation indicators, and assessed the effect before and after treatment. Make Statistical analysis and Compare the efficacy between the two groups after treatment. Therefor establish the best treatment for the disease of Deglutition Disorders after Cerebral Apoplexy.Result: There was no statistically significant of the three groups on the Age, gender, disease duration, number of relapses, nature of the disease, bulbar paralysis types and the index of the Kubota’s water drinking test and SSA according to the Statistical analysis by the method of SPSS 13.0(P>0.05), which showed there are comparability among the three groups. The index of the Kubota’s water drinking test and SSA of the three groups after the three different treatment were Improved(P<0.05). However, there are a significant differences between the integrated group and the other two groups, and there are no statistically significant in the Electro acupuncture group and the Swallow Treatment Apparatus group. It is Worthing to notice that the incidence of pneumonia in the integrated group(3%) was lower than the other two groups, and there are no significant adverse reactions, this observing proved that the combination therapy is safe and effective.Conclusions:1.The three different treatments has significant effect for.the patie nts who suffering deglutition disorders after Cerebral Apoplexy.2.The Treatment effec t of integrated group on deglutition disorders after stroke acute and convalescent pat ients is better than the other two groups.3.Compare with the other two groups,the E lectro-acupuncture combined has three Advantages: the swallowing function was imp roved,the incidence of pneumonia was reduced, Meanwhile there are no significant a dverse reactions.
