| Objects: To observe clinical efficacy of The collaterals disease theory of TCM in prevention of diabetic peripheral neuropathy, and to compare Yi qi adjustable soup combined mecobalamine 500 ug subcutaneous injection than a simple application of mecobalamin 500 ug subcutaneous injection in treatment of diabetic peripheral neuropathy(DPN)Methods: Methods: According to their medical history, symptoms and signs, 120 patients were diagnosed of diabetic peripheral neuropathy, which were randomly divided into treatment group and control group of 60 patients metting the inclusion criteria. There were no significant differences in age, sex,duration of blood glucose, glycated hemoglobin, and diabetic peripheral neuropathy symptoms between two groups. Because the patients with a longer history, All patients were treated with subcutaneous insulin aspart 30(manufactured by Novo Nordisk China Pharmaceutical Co, Ltd) to control blood sugar and adjust the dose and antidiabetic drugs based on blood glucose levels. The control group were received mecobalamin 500 ug subcutaneous injection once a day. On the basis of the control group, treatment group was treated with Yiqi adjustable soup day one, decoction 300 ml, morning and evening for 4 weeks. The clinical efficacy after treatment of two groups were observed and analyzed statistically.Results: ①The symptoms, signs and score improvement were compared: The total efficiency of treatment group was 86.67%,while the control group was 63.33%. ②Sensory nerve conduction velocity(SCV) and motor nerve conduction velocity(MCV) before and after treatment: There was significant difference before and after treatment in two groups. and statistically significant improvement after treatment than control groups(P <0.01). ③Comparisons of symptoms before and after treatment: There was significant difference before and after treatment in two groups, and statistically significant improvement after treatment than control groups(P <0.05). ④Comparisons of Blood sugar before and after treatment: There was significant difference before and after treatment in two groups, and statistically significant improvement after treatment than control groups(P <0.05). On the basis of the control group, ⑤ treatment group was treated with Yiqi adjustable soup in diabetic peripheral neuropathy to delay disease progression and improve the quality of life.Conclusion: Tang bining combined with cobalt ammonium has great effect on DPN of qi and yin deficiency and blood stasis and also well know for its safety. This would provide new idea in treating with DPN of TCM. |
