Clinical Research Of Qingjinhuatan Formula In Treating Stroke-associated Pneumonia Of Phlegm-heat Stroking In Lung

Objective:To explore the qingjinhuatan formula’s efficiency and safety in treating stroke-associated pneumonia of phlegm-heat stroking in lung.Methods:A total of 60 patients involved in this study were divided into 2 groups, the control group and the treatment group. The control group accepted the Western medicine standardized treatment, and the treatment group accepted the qingjinhuatan formula in addition to the standardized treatment. The course of treatment lasted for 2 weeks. We then observed the results including the total efficiency,TCM syndrome evaluation, WBC count and the Creactive protein level,in which the datas were analyzed by using the SPSS of version 18.0.Results: As the results showed, the treatment group had a better efficiency than the control group(93.33% vs. 90.00%, p<0.05). The TCM syndrome evaluation of the two groups all decreased after the treatment, but the rate of the treatment was more significant(p<0.01), which showed that the combined treatment was better than the standardized treatment in improving the TCM syndrome evaluation. The treatment group had a better advantage in improving the single syndrome than the control group, such as relieving cough, regulating the character of phlegm, easing abdomen distension and constipation and adjusting furred tongue and pulse(p<0.01). Two groups’ inflammatory index all decreased largely after the treatment, and the difference between them was not significant. All of the 60 patients had received the entire therapeutic process, no of whom were rejected in this study. Blood routine test, Urine Routine Test, Stool routine, Hepatic-renal function, electrocardiogram, arterial blood gas tests of the patients were all in the normal range.Conclusions:The qingjinhuatan formula combined Western medicine standardized treatment had a better advantage in improving total efficiency and relieving clinical symptom than the single Western medicine standardized treatment in treating stroke-associated pneumoniaof phlegm-heat stroking in lung.In addition,the qingjinhuatan formula had a high safety.
