The Clinical Research On Treating Elderly Hypothyroidism By Tuning Spleen And Liver

Objective:We treat the elderly hypothyroidism of the spleen deficient and liver depression syndrome by tuning spleen and liver, and improve the medical treatment of elderly hypothyroidism patients with Chinese medicine.Methods:61 elderly hypothyroidism patients of spleen deficient and liver depression syndrome, were divided into two groups by means of randomized single blind method,the control group 30 cases were treated with Euthyrox(Levothyroxine sodium tablets);While the treatment group 30 diabetes were treated with Euthyrox and helping spleen and liver tuning. All of the groups were treated 8 weeks, we observed the changes of Free Triiodothyronine(FT3), Free Thyroxine(FT4), Thyroid-stimulating Hormone(TSH), Thyroid Peroxidase Antibody(TPOAb), Thyroglobulin Antibody(TgAb), Total Cholesterol(TC), Triglyceride(TG), High Density Lipoprotein Cholesterol(HDL-C), Low Density Lipoprotein Cholesterol(LDL-C) and the variety of clinical symptoms and signs.Results : The compare of the gender,age,course of the disease and blood glucose,blood lipids and blood pressure before treatment were no significant differences(P﹥0.05),the two groups had comparability.The total effective rate of TCM clinical in the treatment group was 93.33%,the control group was 76.67%,two groups have statistical significant differences(P﹤0.05),the treatment group was better than the control group.In terms of improving FT3,FT4,TSH,TC,TG,HDL-C,LDL-C,TPOAb and TgAb,The treatment group was better than the control group(P﹤0.01 or P﹤0.05).There had been no adverse reaetion in the course of treatment.Conclusion:The methed of tuning spleen and liver is effective and safe and make thehigh clinical efficacy,which will improving the clinical symptoms,reduce themorbidity and amputation rate,and enhance the quality of life.Therefore,this effective Chinese medicine has the good promotion and application value.
