Objective: To evaluate the clinical efficacy of InterTan treatment for adult femoral intertrochanteric fractures, and compare with that of Asian femoral proximal anti rotation intramedullary nail(PFNA-II) treatment by retrospective analysis of surgical effects of femoral intertrochanteric fracture. Methods: Selecting 22 femoral intertrochanteric fracture cases with Inter Tan treatment as InterTan group, and 28 cases with PFNA-II treatment as PFNA-II group in Department of microsurgery, affiliated hospital of Shandong Traditional Chinese Medicine University, during September 2013 to September 2014. Recording incision length, operative time, blood loss, postoperative to leaning on turn load time, clinical fractures after the healing time, postoperative complications of these both treatment, and assessing hip joint function with reference to the Harris hip function score of postoperative patients. Clinical curative effects of these two operation modes were compared with statistical methods. Results: Operation time, intraoperative bleeding volume of PFNA-II group are better than InterTan group(P<0.05), leaning on turn load time and fracture clinical short healing time of InterTan group are shorter than PFNA-II group(P<0.05). Incision lengths, complications, postoperative hip joint function showed no significant difference between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion: PFNA-II and InterTan treatment methods are reasonable, and each has advantages and disadvantages. PFNA-II is simple, with shorter operation time and less amount of bleeding loss. InterTan therapy has good clinical efficacy, with the obvious Anti-spin stabilized and stump pressure effect, shorter crutches load time and fracture healing time, less postoperative complications and higher healing rate.
