The Clinical Study Of Gudikaitian Acupuncture Treatment Of Mild And Moderate Vascular Dementia

Objective This study is to observe the clinical efficacy, safe-ty and standardization of the gudiandkaitian acupuncture method for treatment of mild and moderate vascular dementia(Vascular Dementia, VD).With the contrast of western medicine hydergine tablet,which will provide a scientific basis for its further application in clinical.Methods The patients were selected from Wuhan City Hospital of traditional Chinese Medicine,Wuhan City Excellent Hospital,Jiang-xia District Hospital of traditional Chinese Medicine for treat-ment of patients with vascular dementia during the September 2012 to September 2014.Referencing the<vascular dementia diagnosis, dif-ferentiation and therapeutic effect evaluation standard> recommen-ded by Chinese Medical Association and revised in 2002,the clin-ical trials research develops the western diagnostic criteria for VD.It is also as a blueprint for TCM syndrome classification and diagnosis 135 qualified cases were screening out, which were rand-omly divided into 90 examples in treatment group,45 examples in control group.The treatment group to use treatment of the gudiand-kaitian acupuncture, 5 times a week( 2 days rest in week end).The control group to Oral Western medicine hydergine tablet, 2 tablets each time, 3 times a day, two groups were treated for 12 weeks in a row. The change in cognitive ability, daily life ability.TCM syn-drome and the adverse reactions during the treatment of the pati-ents in the two groups before treatment and treated for thirtieth days, sixtieth days, ninetieth days in respectively.By statisti-cal softwareSPSS19.0.T-test to determine the efficacy according to the MMSE scale, ADL scale integral and TCM syndrome score.Results ①Curative effect evaluation contrast between the two group of MMSE cognitive function efficacy,The total effective rate were 71.59%,42.86% of the treatment group and the control group after 12 weeks of treatment;Contrast between the two groups of ADL effect : The total effective rate were 75.61%, 45.24% of the treatment group and the control group after 12 weeks of treatment;Contrast of TCM Syndromes efficacy between the two group:The total effective rate were 54.58%, 26.19% of the acupuncture treatment group and the control group after 12 weeks of treatment.The efficacy of the treatment group was significantly higher than that of control group acoording to Wilcoxon rank sum test and P<0.01.Therefore, there was a significant difference between the treatment group and control group,which prompt that MMSE cognition, activities of daily life and TCM syndrome efficacy of the treatment group was signi-ficantly better than that of the control group after treatment for 12 weeks.②Safety evaluation: the three conventional, bbiochemical and other vital signs had no obvious changes in the two groups of clinical trial cases before treatment and after 12 weeks treatment, abnormal electrocardiogram(ecg) also did not appear. Allergic reactions such as skin redness, prirutus, rupture did not appear, adverse events such as treatment, hysteresis needles, curved needle, needle breakage also did not appear. The occurrence of mild nausea and the diagnosis of discomfort in the control group is 5 cases, transient dazed palpitate bosom frowsty is 4 cases.Comparing to the safety index of the two groups, the differences between them had statistical significance according to statistical analysis(P < 0.05), It suggested that acupuncture therapy in the treatment of vascular dementia was safe and reliable and had no toxic side eff-ects in clinical trials, and it was more security than the control group. ③Normative evaluation:The gudiandkaitian acupuncture metho-rd has formulated an operating standard text specially. Research-ers are trained in standard and unity.They must master the diagno-sis and treatment plan, which ensure the reliability of the clinic-al test results.This technology is mature, stable and easy to operate.Medical treatment cost is low.The curative effect is remark-able,green environmental and has non-toxic side effects,This tech-nique is suitable to promote overall.Conclusion The clinical trial results show that,the efficacy of gudiandkaitian acupuncture method in the treatment of mild and moderate vascular dementia is exact.It can effectively improve the cognitive ability and the TCM Syndrome so as to improve the ability of daily life.The acupuncture treatment in the short-term and long term effects,compare with hydergine tablet, the difference was not obvious in short term efficacy,but obviously superior to hydergine tablet in the long term curative effect.In the aspect of safety, Gudiandkaitian is without any adverse reacions and side effects in the treatment of the whole process.It is alo safe and reliable.The technology has developed a specialized operation specification text.It is also normative and stability.So it is worthy in clinicl application.
