Chronic subjective dizziness is a chronic non-rotating dizziness or subjective sense of imbalance, while the patient is highly sensitive to the motion stimulus, visual stimulus, or is poor tolerance for complex visual tasks, but generally is not associated with vestibular disorders. Chronic subjective dizziness is one of the long-term dizziness, which is generally accompanied with anxiety and depression. It can affect the quality of life of patients, some patients even can not live a normal life, work and study. In recent years, the new treatments were found, which are included drug, vestibular rehabilitation and biofeedback- behavioral cognitive therapy.DHI, HADS and SF-36 scales were used to assess anxiety, depr ession and quality of life, to investigate whether age was one of fact ors for anxiety, depression, dizziness degree, to assess clinical efficac y of comprehensive treatment.DHI, HADS and SF-36 scales were used to assess 38 cases of patients with chronic subjective dizziness. Those patients were divided into two groups: 18 cases of study group and 20 cases of control gr oup. The treatment of study group included drug, vestibular rehabilita tion and biofeedback behavioral cognitive therapy, the control group was with drug treatment. All patients were followed up for six weeks and pre and post treatment at 2nd, 4th, 6th weeks were assessed by DHI, HADS and SF-36 scales. This study showed that the higher HADS scale score, the higher DHI scale, the higher DHI scale score, the lower SF-36 scale score s,the results were statistically significant(P< 0.05). DHI and HADS scale scores showed no significant difference(P> 0.05)among different a ge groups. DHI, HADS and SF-36 scale scores were not statistically significance(P> 0.05) about the study group and the control group at2 nd weeks after treatment. DHI, HADS and SF-36 scale scoreswere statistically significantly(P< 0.05) about the study group and the co ntrol group at 4th,6th week. The study indicated hat the severity of anxiety and depressionwa s correlated with the degree of dizziness. The study found that themo re severe mood disorder, the more severe dizziness, the poorer qualit y of life. Age was not one factor that could affect the degree of anx iety, depression and dizziness. Comprehensive treatment could signific antly improve symptoms of dizziness, while improving anxiety, depres sion and quality of life. The efficacy was more significantly thandrug treatment.
