Objective:Obstructive sleep apnea-hypopnea syndrome (OSAHS) patients have complex causes, including nasal cavity, nose pharynx, throat plane narrow and mandibular malformation, etc.Nasal congestion is common in patients with OSAHS.This article through to analyzed and compared the outcome of the acouStic rhinospirometer nasal ventilatory function by OSAHS patients without abnormal nasal obstruction, and nasal cavity structure and the normal people. Discuss without nasal obstruction and no obvious nasal structural abnormalities in OSAHS patients with nasal ventilation function and its mechanism may produce change. Methods:Set to normal people as control group, without nasal obstruction and no obvious abnormal nasal cavity structure of OSAHS patients as observation group. The control group are 34 (male19, female 15). The observation group 30 patieuts(male 21, female 9).Electronic nose laryngoscope,Muller maneuver and CT scanning of upper airway in two groups. Acoustic rhinometry was used to measure the minimum cross-sectional area(MCA),distance of the minimal cross-sectional area to the nostfil(DCAN)and the nasal volume from 0 to 5cm,2 to 5cm(V5, V2—5). Rhinomanometry was used to measure unilateral nasal inspiratory resistance(IR)and expiratory resistance(ER)at 150pa,total bilateral inspiratory resistance(TIR)and total bilateral expiratory resistance(TER).Results:1. The basis of two groups:1.1 The differences of age and sex between the two groups had no statistical significance(P>0.05).Weight type:observation group 12 cases were overweight (40%),18caseswere obese(40%). control group are normal weight. There was significantly difference in values of BMI between the two group(P<0.01).1.2 Mallampati type observation group are type IV. control group are type Ⅰ~Ⅱ.1.3 Muller maneuver:observation group are (+++)-(++++),the pharyngeal cavity ratio is 0.89±0.41. control group are(+)~(++)2. The result of the PSG:There were significantly difference in values of AHI,LSaO2 and MSaO2 between the two group(P<0.01).3. Compared to control group3.1 There were significantly difference in values of V5、V2-5 and MCA between the two group(P<0.05),while values of DCAN was no significantly.3.2 The values of IR, ER, TIR TER were all significantly higher(P<0.05).3.3 There were significantly difference in values of V5> V2-5 and MCA between the two group(P<0.05)at the before and after sparying the nasal, while values of DCAN was no significantly.3.4 There were significantly difference in values of TIR,TER between the two group(P<0.05)at the before and after sparying the nasal, while values of BE3R were no significantly.4 In the results of the nasal ventilator function in observation group . There were positive correlations between V5、V2-5、MCA、and LSaO2、MSao2 (P<0.05). There were negative ecorrelations between V5、V2-5、MCA、and AHI (P<0.05). There were positive correlations between IR, ER and LSaO2、MSao2(P <0.05). There were negative ecorrelations between IR, ER and AHI(P<0.05).Conclusion:1. The nasal ventilatory function of the patients who are in the observation group is abormal.2. OSAHS patients with poor response to ephedrine.3.The airway function of nose in observation group associzted with PSG.
