Clinlcal Study On Simple Obesity With Hyperlipidemia By Acupoint Catgut Embedding Therapy

Objective: With acupoint catgut embedding therapy as treatment group and the common acupuncture as control group, observe and compare the contrast in the two groups before and after treatment in patients with symptoms, body weight, body mass index(BMI) obesity, waist-to-hip ratio, and the change of blood lipid, to acupuncture the difference of curative between point embedding therapy and common acupuncture in the treatment of simple obesity with hyperlipidemla, confirme that point embedding therapy has its unique advantage in reducing weight, improve body shape and regulate blood lipid metabolism, etc, has a unique advantage, to clarify the possible mechanism of catgut embedding therapy reducing weight from the aspects of endocrine metabolism, and provide objective basis obesity and related diseases of treatment of optimization for obesity and its related disease.Methods: The 60 patients who were consistent with the topic selection criteria were randomly divided into acupoint catgut embedding therapy treatment group(30 cases) and common acupuncture control group(30 cases). Treatment group were treated by the method of acupoint catgut embedding therapy with 2 weeks time and 3 times for a period of treatment. Control group were treated by ordinary acupuncture treatment and manipulated needle with flat or level of technique with retaining 30 min and treatment to go once, 6 weeks as a course of treatment. The point selection methods were combined the dialectical selection methods with experience. Two groups were treated one course of treatment all and observated 2 week and about 4 times as a total.Results: After treatment, two groups of patients’ symptoms and blood lipid were improved, weight loss, body mass index, obesity, waist, hip circumference and waist hip ratio were significantly decreased. And the curative effect was not seen significant differences between two groups.Conclusion: Acupoint catgut embedding therapy could improve the signs andsymptoms of patients with simple obesity obviously. It has the effect of losing weight and reducing blood fat, so it is one of the effective means of treatment of simple obesity and its complications.
