Objective:Compare the clinical effects of Qi Four-Knee-Point Acupuncture and the conventional acupuncture in healing knee osteoarthritis. Try to pursue the proper acupuncture quantity in Knee Osteoarthritis curing.Methods:The Qi Four-Knee-Point Acupuncture and conventional acupuncture are implemented on 60 knee osteoarthritis patients respectively. According to principle of precedence, the patients are randomly equalized into the treatment group and control group, with 30 patients in each one. Patients in the treatment group are treated with Qi Four-Knee-Point Acupuncture as supplementary of conventional acupuncture treatments. Patients in the control group are treated with conditional treatments. Each acupuncture process lasts for 20 minutes, with TDP irradiation. once a day,Six times as a course of treatment. After 3 courses of treatments, the indexes from the WOMAC Table were compared between groups. We also test extra indicators including knee joint tenderness, swelling, etc..Results: The Qi Four-Knee-Point Acupuncture has advantage over the conventional acupuncture.Conclusion: Both the Qi Four-Knee-Point Acupuncture and the conventional acupuncture take effects in healing knee osteoarthritis. The Qi Four-Knee-Point Acupuncture shows advantage over the conventional acupuncture in clinical cases.
