Objective: To observe the clinical efficacy of traditional Chinese medicine Modified Zishui Qinggan Potion to menopausal women with Burning Mouth Syndrome.Methods: The inclusion is divided into experimental group and control group with the random number table method. Experimental group were given decoction(Zishui Qinggan Potion) and the control group were given Valley- nuclear-E combination therapy. After four weeks of treatment,we measured the pain intensity, severity of symptoms and the quality of life through the pain visual analogue scale, TCM symptom scores, Determination of TDL life quality etc,and then we come to the conclusion by comparing the clinical curative effect of two groups.Results: After four weeks of treatment, the pain index, TCM syndrome score and TDL quality of life scores of the two groups of patients were improved than before, and the experimental group is better than the control group. The P values was less than 0.05 by the statistical test, indicating that the results were statistically significance. The total effective rate of experimental group was 83.33% while the control group was46.67% in the pain visual analogue scale; The effective rate of the experimental group was 90% while the control group was 43.33% in the TCM symptom scores.Conclusion: The modified Zishui Qinggan Potion in treating Burning Mouth Syndrome(the type of Kidney-yin Deficiency and Liver Depression) has better clinical curative effect, and drug safety, and no obvious side effects.
