Objective: TO investigate the effect of jiawei suye huanglian decoction treating chronic kindey disease(stageⅣ~Ⅴ) without dialysis. To explore the advantages and feasibility of combineing traditional Chinese and western medicine. Methods: 60 patients with hronic kindey disease(stageⅣ~Ⅴ) without dialysis were divided into 2 groups at random, each group is 30 cases. The control group were treated with basic medicine, while the experimental treatment group were treated with basic medincine and jiawei suye huanglian decoction. The course of treatment is 2 weeks. We would observe the subjects of laborary examination before and after experiment. We would record the change of patients’ clinical symptoms. At last we would observe the curative effects. Results:The experimentalgroup, the totalefficiency of76.67%,in the controlgroup was63.33%(P <0.01).Comparative analysis ofthe two data sets, wefound that the experimental groupwas significantlybetter than the controlgroupto improvepatients’ clinical symptoms. After treatment, patientsin the experimental group, its’ BUNandScrlevels decreased thanbefore, GRFlevels in the experimental group rised than in the controlgroup. There were significant difference betweenthe two groups(P<0.05)Conclusion: The treatment of chronic kindey disease(stageⅣ~Ⅴ) without dialysis of turbid toxins syndrome with jiawei suye huanglian decoction can significantly improve the clinic symptoms of the patients, reduce the patients’ major uremic toxins(including BUN and Scr), rise patients’ GRF,slow the Progression of renal dysfunction. The result of the research was satisfactory.
