Objective: To observe the clinical efficacy and safety of electro-acupuncture treatment for women with mixed urinary incontinence (MUI).Method: This study selected 42 cases of female patients with mixed urinary incontinence, who all come from the department of acupuncture rehabilitation and Urology in Jiangsu Province Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital during March 2014 to November 2014,and randomly divide into two groups:the electro-acupuncture group (the treatment group), pelvic floor muscle training (pelvic floor muscle training, PFMT) with solifenacin group (the control group), the each group is 21 cases.1 patients in treatment group shedde lease during treatment,20 cases actually.2 patients in control group shedde lease during treatment,19 cases actually, patients in treatment group were given electro-acupuncture deep needling bilateral zhong liao and hui yang points, every week 3 times, each time for 30 minutes, for 12 consecutive weeks. While the control group were given pelvic floor muscle training with solifenacin. Solifenacin: every time 5 mg,1 time a day. pelvic floor muscle training :concentrated training once a week, each time 45 minutes; family training training three times a day, every time15 to 30 minutes; 12 weeks continuous. The study judge clinical efficacy by 72h number of urinary incontinence, degree of leakage, daily frequency of urination, and urinary incontinence symptom score for index before and after the treatment between the treatment group and the control group. Results:The total effective rate of Electro-acupuncture treatment is 80%. of PFMT with solifenacin treatment is 78.9%, and there is no significant difference in results(P>0.05), the clinical efficacy is fairly. The treatment group can significantly improve the degree of leakage, daily frequency of urination, and the quality of life which is better than that in the control group (P<0.05). After 2 weeks treatment, the treatment group reduce the number of urinary incontinence that compared with control group. The difference is no statistical significance (P>0.05), and the two groups are no obvious difference. After 4 weeks and 8 weeks treatment, the treatment group can obviously reduce frequency of urinary incontinence compared with control group, it is significant difference (P<0.05), but after 12 weeks treatment, they are no significant difference (P>0.05). In the treatment group,12 weeks Treatment reduce the number of urinary incontinence with 8 weeks treatment that is no statistical significance (P>0.05), and shows that it is no obvious difference, While the control group improve the clinical efficacy in the number of urinary incontinence as time increases. After treatment of 4 weeks,8 weeks,12 weeks, the total effective rate in two groups is no significant difference (P>0.05). The total effective rate of comparison in the groups after the treatment of 4 weeks,8 weeks,12 weeks, the treatment of 8 weeks has obvious advantage in improving the total effective rate than the treatment of 4 week, but in the treatment of 8 weeks and 12 weeks, the total effective rate has no obvious. Conclusions: the clinical efficacy of electro-acupuncture treatment in the female MUI is obvious, and no adverse reactions. it is a kind of safe and effective method in treating MUI, and it is worth to popularization and application widely.
