Objective:To sumit and explore the clinical experience of the distinguished national old TCM Professor Shan Zhaowei in the treatment of gastric cancer in these years, we use the data mining technology as a method to help us analyse the characteristics and rules of the prescription, so to be able to inherit and carry forward Professor Shan Zhaowei’s clinical experience and academic thought in the treatment of gastric cancer, also to be able to guide the the treatment of gastric cancer.Method:We sort out the medical records of gastric cancer since the year 2000 by Professor Shan Zhaowei with strict accordance with the inclusion criteria and exclusion criteria,and we find 261 cases and use them to build a data base.We use the frequency method and cluster analysis to find the regulations between symptoms, pathogenesis, syndrome type, therapeutic methods and herbs, then we sumit and analyse the outcome combined with the clinical experience and academic thought of Professor Shan Zhaowei.Results:All 261 cases of gastric cancer,192 are male and 69 are female, with an average of 57.78±11.68 years old. There are 13 symptoms which frequency in all clinic times is over 10%:insomnia (31.80%), fatigue (23.75%), thirsty (22.99%), emaciation (20.31%), anorexia (17.62%), diarrhea (16.86%), stomachache (14.56%), constipation (13.79%), belching (12.64%), aversion to cold (12.26%), sour regurgitation (11.11%), gasteremphraxis (10.73%), heartburn (10.34%). The prescription of gastric cancer by Professor Shan Zhaowei conclude 119 kinds of herbs, the top 13 frequently used herbs are Hedyotis diffusa, Semen Coicis, Agrimonia pilosa, Pinellia ternate, Astragalus mongholicus, Glossy Ganoderma, Radix Polygonati Officinalis, Radix Ophiopogonis, Lily, Sculellaria barbata, Rhizoma Atractylodis Macrocephalae, Fritillary Bulb, Zedoary, accounting for 96.93%,90.04%,89.27%,88.51%, 84.67%,83.14%,80.08%,69.73%,45.21%,43.68%,32.95%,31.80%,26.82% in the 261 cases respectively. According to the categorical statstics for drug efficiency, we can find the yin tonics, antipyretic-detoxicate drugs and qi-invigorating herbs with the frequency over 10%, accounting for 18.13%,13.59%,12.12% respectively.Conclusion:Common symptoms of stomach cancer are mainly:stomachache, gasteremphraxis, anorexia, sour regurgitation, heartburn, belching, insomnia, emaciation, fatigue, aversion to cold, thirsty, diarrhea, constipation. The common prescription of gastric cancer by Professor Shan Zhaowei is Qizhu decoction (Astragalus mongholicus, Radix Polygonati Officinalis, Pinellia ternate, Radix Ophiopogonis, Semen Coicis, Agrimonia pilosa, Hedyotis diffusa, Glossy Ganoderma, Sculellaria barbata, Zedoary) with exclusion of Sculellaria barbata and Zedoary, all the used drug efficiency is maily about supplementing qi and nourishing yin, heat-clearing and detoxifying, partly promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis, it can be concluded as mainly strenthening the body resistance and partly eliminating pathogenic factors.
