Objective:To explore the pathogenesis of primary Sjogren’s syndrome(pSS), and discover new drugs for the treatment of pSS, observe and evaluate the clinical effect of serum immunoglobulins, salivary flow rate effects after treatment of Shengjinshutong Fang for primary pSS, From the point of the heat stagnation and Blockage of qi,to analysis the pathogenesis of pSS, enrich the theory of pSS.Methods:120cases of pSS patients were randomly divided into treatment group of80patients and control group of40patients; in treatment group, patients were taken Shengjinshutong Fang patients; in control group, the symptomatic treatment was replaced, and all were treated for three months, to observe changes of clinical serum immunoglobulin and salivary flow rate. Results:Before treatment, immunoglobulin in both groups were higher than normal and salivary flow rate all decreased. After treatment, immune globulin in two groups decreased and salivary flow rate elevated, in treatment group P<0.01, while in control group P>0.05, in treatment group, the clinical remission rate was22.5%and the total effective rate was75%; clinical remission rate in control group was5%, and total effective rate30%. The total effective rate, clinical remission rate was significantly different between two groups(P<0.05).Conclusion:Shengjinshutong Fang of clearing away heat, promoting the role of qi has significant clinical treatment and immunoregulatory effect on patients of pSS. Show that heat stagnation and Qi Blockage play an important role in pathogenesis of pSS.
