Mandibular reconstructive surgery scheme based on rapid prototyping technology is a integrated study which is relying on the development of rapid prototyping and implementation tools.It is as a means by CT scan and image data processing technology.The bio-mechanical analysis is as the core. The development of CT image processing and three-dimensional reconstruction can be convenient and efficient to the reconstruction of a complex, irregular shape of three-dimensional model of mandible. Using point cloud data technology can realize repair and optimization of three-dimensional model. After the reasonable finite element analysis, the rapid prototyping can build three-dimensional model corresponding to the relevant STL file. Based on the model, the doctor could drill surgical procedure and develop the surgical planning to improve the efficiency and enhance success rate of surgery which can alleviate the suffering of patients. Therefore, the subject has a strong practical value.The topic is use of CT scan data of human mandibular. As development of complete mandibular three-dimensional repair and optimization technology, safe and efficient implementation of biological fixation plate is the goal of this study. The mechanical properties can be verified by biomechanical analysis which lay the foundation for the model of manufacturing. This research mainly includes the following aspects:(1) The CT image processing and complex three-dimensional model reconstruction based on CT scan data are studyed. The mandible model could be fast and accurately seperated by the techlogy of the threshold selection regional growth, the Mongolian cover and so on.(2) Mandible repair and optimization techniques based on point cloud data processing are researched.The human autologous fibula model will be extracted and imported to the mandible model with STL file. The bio-plate model will be built by using application of rigid internal fixation and imported to the mandible model with STL file.The mandibular defects will be fitted by the bio-plate model and the screw holes will be simulatd and optimized, which are supported by Magics.(3) The mandibular finite element modeling and analysis method can be probed.The surface meshes should be divided by special software and then converted to volume meshes because of complex and irregular shape of the mandible.The boundary condition and load should be defined to ensure the rationality and validity of modeling at the same time.The mandibular stress and deformation should be summarized to validate the model reasonable.(4) The model should be manufactured and used to surgical guidance.If the model is verified reasonable by FEM, it can be manufactured.The model pre-treatment, manufacturing and model post-processing should be fixed. Various process parameters during processing should be analyzed and contrasted to illustrate the effect on material costs, processing time, forming precision and so on. Finally, the model is successfully manufactured and used to surgical guidance.
