Objectives:(1) To explore the cognitive processes of5-6years old children,(2) To explore correlation between cognitive processes and Sensory integration in the ages of5and6children.Methods:(1)118preschool children, who are5and6year old, were respectively tested by the Electronic Cognitive Assessment System(E-CAS), and we analyzed these differences of boys and girls,(2)118preschool children were respectively tested by7sporting assessments of sensory integration including floor standing test、 Balance table test、Single foot chair test、Balance beam test、skateboard test、Jumping ball test、Climbing bag test, then we analyzed these differences of boys and girls, and explored correlation with the Results of Cognitive Assessment System(E-CAS),(3) Teachers sent the Sensory Integration Questionnaire to the118preschool children’s parents, then we analyzed these differences of boys and girls, and explored correlation with the Results of Cognitive Assessment System(E-CAS) and sporting assessments of sensory integration.Results:(1)Use Mann-Whitney U Test to analyze these differences of boys and girls:①The results of Cognitive Assessment System(E-CAS) included Planning、Attention、Simultaneous、Successive and total points, Analyzed these differences of boys and girls, Planning、 Attention had no significant difference(p0.492、p0.125), and the differences of Simultaneous、Successive and total points were very significant(p0.002、p0.018、p0.005), girls done better than boys in Simultaneous、Successive and total points.②The results of sporting assessments of sensory integration included floor standing test (Single leg and eyes opening time、Single leg and eyes closing time)、 Balance table test (Getting up on Balance table time、Balance table holding time)、Single foot chair test (Getting up on Single foot chair time、Single foot chair holding time)、Balance beam test (Balance beam time、Number of fail)、skateboard test (skateboard time)、Jumping ball test (Jumping ball time)、Climbing bag test (Climbing bag time), Analyzed these differences of boys and girls, Single leg and eyes closing time、Getting up on Balance table time、Single foot chair holding time、Balance beam time、Number of fail and skateboard time had no significant difference(p0.614、p0.239、p0.591、p0.133、p0.188、p0.066), the differences of Single leg and eyes opening time、Balance table holding time、Balance table holding time、Jumping ball time and Climbing bag time were very significant(p0.000、p0.006、p0.008、p0.004、 p0.001), girls done better than boys in Single leg and eyes opening time、 Balance table holding time、Balance table holding time、Jumping ball time, boys done better than girls in Climbing bag time.③Analyzed the results of Sensory Integration Questionnaire differences of boys and girls, there had no significant difference(p0.732).(2) Correlation analysis of the results of Cognitive Assessment System(E-CAS)、sporting assessments of sensory integration and Sensory Integration Questionnaire:①Use Mann-Whitney U Test to analyze these differences of Sensory Integration Questionnaire and sporting assessments of sensory integration, only Single foot chair holding time was very significant (p<0.05),all other sporting assessments of sensory integration had no significant difference(p>0.05), indicated that diagnosis from Sensory Integration Questionnaire did not show the sensitivity in sporting assessments of sensory integration.②Use Mann-Whitney U Test to analyze these differences of Sensory Integration Questionnaire and Cognitive Assessment System(E-CAS), there all had no significant difference(p>0.05), indicated that diagnosis from Sensory Integration Questionnaire did not show the sensitivity in Cognitive Assessment System(E-CAS).③Use Spearman to analyze correlation between sporting assessments of sensory integration and Cognitive Assessment System(E-CAS), correlation coefficient were low (r-0.215to r0.328)Conclusions:(1) Diagnosis from Sensory Integration Questionnaire did not show the sensitivity in sporting assessments of sensory integration and Cognitive Assessment System(E-CAS).(2) Correlation between Cognitive Assessment System(E-CAS) and sporting assessments of sensory integration was low.
