Objective:By analyzing of epidemiological characteristics of brucellosis, can weunderstand epidemiological characteristics and treatment of brucellosis treatmentgroups in Baicheng district, which could provide background information for thefurther study of brucellosis control measures; by describing clinical characteristics ofpatients, can we increase clinician’s awareness of brucellosis and reduce misdiagnosisrate and false dismissal rate of brucellosis; By analyzing and investigating behaviorrelated to brucellosis, can we take appropriate protection and public education fordifferent groups of people, and reduce the incidence of brucellosis. Methods:In this study, treatment groups in the1stInstitute for Endemic Disease Controland Research of Jilin Province from January1to December31in2013were studied,a total of1187cases.The self-designed questionnaire of brucellosis cases were usedin the research. After finishing the questionnaire about general condition, clinicalmanifestations, contact history, diagnosis and treatment, that a database were builtby Epidata3.0software,SPSS17.0were used for statistical analysis.Results:1.Treatment groups contained a total of1187people,patients contained a total of561people,brucellosis-positive rate was47.26%.2. This survey discovered that Jilin province suffered most from brucellosis, atotal of1159people. The most was Yaobei district, and Yaonan district and Tongyudistrict follows, and the number of people was285(24.60%),245(21.14%),240(20.71%). Brucellosis is very active in the period between May and August, andthe number of people was162(13.65%) in May,228(19.21%) in June,141(11.88%) inJuly,126(10.61%) in August.3. Among561patients, the number of male patients was430, the number offemale patients was131, and the ratio was3.28:1.The ratio of patients aged from41 to60, which was52.41%, were more than others. Most of patients were peasant andshepherd, and the ratio of peasant was70.05%and the ratio of shepherd was23.89%.Most people’s educational level were Primary level or Junior middle schoollevel, which ratio of was89.48%。In the age distribution, the sex distribution, theregional distribution, and the cultural distribution, the difference of positive rateshows statistical significance.4.The main symptoms in patients was sweat(74.69%)、arthralgia(69.34%)、weak(68.63%)and fever(67.56%). Acute phase accounted for88.8%,which beingmain in clinical stages of composition; And joint type accounted for64.71%, whichbeing main in clinical subtypes of composition.5.The main route of transmission in patients was skin and mucosa, others werealimentary canal and respiratory tract; The main contagium in patients wasapoblema(99.11%),others were faece(98.75%)、water(95.54%)、dairy-meat(94.12%)、dust(86.45%)、fur(56.51%)、 soil(22.10%).6.In the patients, the difference of positive rate between contactees anduncontactees shows statistical significance(χ2=3.911,P<0.05).In the survey ofbrucellosis behavior, behaviors with higher contact rate were feeding (74.95%),followed by cleaning sheep folds (73.00%) and grazing (72.03%).Behaviors withlower contact rate were breeding (0.58%) and eating food without sterilization. Thedifference of positive rate between people contacting with feeding、 grazing、accouche、shearing、slaughtering、cleaning sheep folds、people and livestock livingtogether and people no contacting shows statistical significance.(P<0.05)。Conclusions:1. Treatment groups were almost from Baicheng district, and the time oftreatment was concentrated on May to August; And the positive relevance ratio ofpatients aged from40to60was the highest; And most people’s educational level werelow.2. In the patients, the positive relevance ratio of brucellosis in males was higherthan in females. The main symptoms in patients was sweat、arthralgia、weak and fever, and acute phase was main in clinical stages of composition, and joint type wascommon in clinical subtypes of composition.3. Brucellosis patients almost had behaviors with contacting sheep. And the ratio of those people contacting with feeding、grazing and cleaning sheep folds washigher.4. In the survey, the number of patients though skin and mucosa was most, andthe main contagium in patients was apoblema.
