Clinitral Study Of Zishen Qianggu Decoction On The Treatment Of Glucocorticoid Induced Osteoporosis In Chronic Kidney Disease Palioitts

Objective: To observe the clinical therapeutic effect of Zishen Qianggu Decoction onglucocorticoid induced osteoporosis (GIOP) in chronic kidney disease patients, to discussits feasibility and advantage of clinical application of Zishen Qianggu Decoction, and to tryto explore the valid integrative prescription on GIOP treatment.Method: This study was a prospective randomized controlled trial.60eligiblepatients was enrolled and randomly divided into two groups evenly. The patients ofcontrol group were given the basic treatment of Western medicine (i.e. calcium carbonate,calcitriol and corresponding allopathic medicine); the patients of experimental group weregiven combination therapeutic regimen (Zishen Qianggu Decoction+the basic treatmentof Western medicine). The intervention period was6months. The clinicalsymptoms before and after treatments were observed, and bone mineral density, theconcerntration of serum calcium, phosphorus, parathyroid hormone, alkaline phosphataseand total vitamin D were determinded respectively. Statistical analysis of the differences ofcurative effect between the two groups after clinical observation.Result:1. The total in experimental group effective rate was96%and in Controlgroup was83%.The total effective rate of experimental group was significantly higher thanthat of control group, P<0.05.2. The symptoms, such as back pain, soreness and weakness of waist and knee, legpain, skelasthenia, dizziness and other physical signs of traditional Chinese medicine hadbeen alleviated in both groups after treatment, P<0.05; the degree of improving was moresignificant in the experimental group, P<0.05. 3. The level of bone mineral density was improved in both group aftertreatment, P<0.05; the efficacy of experimental group was much better than the controlgroup, P<0.05.4. The level of serum calcium, phosphorus, alkaline phosphatase, parathyroidhormone and vitamin D were significantly improved in both groups after treatment, P<0.05;the degree of improving was more significant in the experimental group, with the effecton serum calcium, phosphorus, alkaline phosphatase, parathyroid hormone, vitamin D.P<0.05Conclusion：1. For GIOP patients with chronic kidney disease, on the basis ofconventional treatment of Western medicine, plus Zishen Qianggu Decoction significantlyimproved the patient’s quality of life by alleviating the soreness and pain of waist and knee,weakness and skelasthenia and other clinical symptoms.2. For GIOP patients with chronic kidney disease, on the basis of conventionaltreatment of Western medicine, plus Zishen Qianggu Decoction effectively improved bonemineral density of the patients.3. For GIOP patients with chronic kidney disease, on the basis of conventionaltreatment of Western medicine, plus Zishen Qianggu Decoction effectively improved thelevel of parathyroid hormone, serum calcium, phosphorus, alkaline phosphatase and totalvitamin D, so as to demonstrate a beneficial effect on the prognosis of GIOP patients.4. Compared with control group, the clinical symptoms, bone mineral density andbiochemical indexes in experimental group had improved significantly, suggesting thatZishen Qianggu Decoction demonstrated recognized efficacy on GIOP in chronic kidneydisease patients and integrative treatment of traditional Chinese medicine and westernmedicine was feasible and effective.
