Clinical Observation Of Curative Effect Of Yiqiyangyin Decoction On The Chronic Heart Failure(Qi And Yin Deficiency)

Objective: To Observe and Evaluate the Efficacy and Safety of Yi Qi Yang YinDecoction on symptomatic and clinical changes in patients who suffer from Chronic HeartDisease with both Qi and Yin Deficiency.Methods:100patients with chronic heart failure Qi and Yin deficiency syndromewere randomly selected, then divided equally (50:50) into the experimental (test) groupand the comparison group. The test group used TCM (Bu Xin Yang Yin decoction) androutine Western Medicine, the comparison group used routine Western Medicine. Thecourse of treatment was4weeks. The key symptoms and clinical changes observed pre andpost both treatments were, heart function, that is, symptomatic changes in Palpitations,shortness of breath, clinical blood tests for Cardiac Enzymes,the cardiac function grading(NYHA),UCG, BNP, NT-ProBNP, and the Exercise Tolerance Test (a6minute walktest).Results:（(1）After4weeks of treatment the physical symptoms, mainly palpitations,shortness of breath, tinnitus, dry mouth, pulse and blood pressure improved significantlybetter in Test Group than Comparison group by (P<0.05). The rest symptoms, the effectis close (P>0.05).（2）The integral symptoms improvement of symptoms was better on Test group thanComparison group (P<0.05).（3）The curative effect findings on symptoms and blood tests results was a total of88%effective on TCM and68%effective on Western Medicine. The Test group had abetter curative effect than the Comparison group (P<0.0（1）.（4） The cardiac function grading (NYHA), had a total efficiency of66%on Test group, the Comparison group had a total efficiency of60%. The results for both groupswere close to their curative effect, has no significant difference on comparison (P>0.05).(5) The improvement in UCG (LVEF,SV), was better on Test group than Comparisongroup (P<0.05)., The improvement in LVED, the results for two groups wereclose(P>0.05).(6) The results of BNP, NT-ProBNP, and Exercises Tolerance Test (minute walk) weresimilar for both groups, with a very close efficacy (P>0.05).Conclusion:The Yi Qi Yang Yin Decoction in the treatment of chronic heart failurewith deficiency of both Qi and Yin has a good clinical effect, safety and reliability. Adversereaction of the Yi Qi Yang Yin Decoction is less than western medicine, worthy of furtherclinical research and extension.
