Clinical Study On The Appendiceal Abscess Treating By External Application Of Daqing Ointment

Objective To observe the clinical effects on the appendiceal abscess treating byexternal application of Daqing ointment and explore its mechanism of action.Method For the Affiliated Hospital of Shandong University of Traditional Chinesegeneral surgery from December2010to December2013period60cases of appendicealabscess around the treated patients were retrospectively analyzed and divided into a controlgroup and treatment group, The control group received a simple application which Westernmedicine, the treatment group received topical application of Daqing ointment combinedwith Western medicine treatment. Patients were observed closely the lower rightabdominal pain and local tenderness, rebound tenderness, body temperature, blood, mass,B-ultrasound and so on. If no relief or worsening of symptoms during treatment should bepromptly abdominal CT scan to confirm the diagnosis and to give senior antibiotictreatment, if necessary, surgical treatment. Observe and compare the patient’s temperaturereturned to normal time, abdominal pain relief and disappearance time, markedly reducedmass and dissipation time, and white blood cell count, neutrophil percentage and otherindicators of clinical change. Before starting treatment and after treatment were observedand recorded pain conditions, body temperature, blood case, mass size an so on.two weekfor a course, and to compare the efficacy of2,3,4weeks.Result1. Patient body temperature returned to normal, the right lower abdomenpain time, significantly reducing the time and dissipate mass, the treatment group wereshorter than those in the control group, Statistically, between the treatment and controlgroups were statistically significant differences (P <0.05), with statistical significance.2.Two groups of patients after five days of treatment, patients treated white blood cell count,percentage of neutrophils, B-ultrasound case due to the control group of patients, the statistical analysis, the two data sets with significant differences (P <0.05), a statisticallymeaning.3. Clinical efficacy in patients treated with2,3,4weeks, significantly better thanthe control group. Treatment group and the control group did not find a significant toxicside effects, the difference was not statistically significant.Conclusion1. Appendiceal abscess treating by Daqing ointment can shorten theright lower abdomen pain time, the time of body temperature returned to normal,significantly reducing the time and dissipate mass.2. Appendiceal abscess treating byDaqing ointment can reduce patient temperature appendix abscess, the white blood cellcount, neutrophil percentage of cells.3. Appendiceal abscess treating by Daqing ointmentcan promote the appendiceal abscess in patients with clinical symptoms,signs of significantimprovement, obviously,and no clinically significant side effects,is worthy of clinicalapplication.4.But due to the limitations of this study, only a preliminary study of itsmechanism of action, its deeper depth study of the mechanism need to be more explicit inthe future.
