Objective:At present, there are many studies on the risk factors andpathogenesis of vascular dementia, but the specific mechanism is notvery clear. Most of the studies focus on the aspects of cerebrovasculardiseases. In recent years,However, the study of microalbuminuria(MA)has been confirmed that it have closely related with the major cerebralvascular factors of VD (cerebral infarction, etc.) and the risk factors(hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidemia, etc). Our article study thecorrelation between microalbuminuria and vascular dementia in order toexplore the possible risk factors of vascular dementia, and there mayhave very important significance on seeking the effective prevention andtreatment measures of VD.Methods:First of all,36cases of patients with vascular dementia,38cases ofcerebral infarction (Cerebral Infarction, CI) patients and32healthyvolunteers (Normao Control, NC) conducted a case-control study, andthen the VD group was divided into27cases of multiple infarctiondementia (multi-infarct dementia, MID), with CI group and NC groupconducted a case-control study. Using immunoturbidimetric assay fordetection of microalbuminuria levels, analysis of correlation betweenVD and MA level, and general clinical data on all observed objectscompared, looking for risk factors of VD. Results:1.Gender,age,level of education, hyperlipidemia, history of smokingand drinking showed no significant differece (P>0.05) between anythree groups(VD group、CI group、NC group among the three groups andMID group、CI group、NC group among the three groups.); MMSE scorehave statistically significant between any three group(VD group、CIgroup、 NC group and MID group、 CI group、 NC);In terms ofconcomitant diseases, Hypertension have statistically significantbetween any three groups(VD group、CI group、NC group and MIDgroup、CI group、NC)(P <0.05).2.VD group、CI group and NC group in comparison,(Except forpositive urinary protein), MA value of VD group was the highest, NCgroup was the lowest, for statistical analysis, both VD group and the CIgroup showed no significant difference, NC group were compared withVD group and CI group, showed significant differences,MID group、CIgroup and NC group in comparison, MA value of MID group was thehighest, NC group was the lowest, for statistical analysis, MID groupwas significantly higher than the other two groups, and showedstatistically significant (P <0.05).Experimental conclusion:1.MA value of Vascular Dementia patients (including multi-infarctdementia patients and other types of Vascular Dementia patients) wasslightly higher than cerebral infarction patients, showed no significantdifferece (P>0.05), MA value of Vascular Dementia patients wassignificantly higher than healthy controls patients, and showedstatistically significant (P <0.05), MA value of was significantly higherthan healthy controls patients, and showed statistically significant (P<0.05). 2.MA value was significantly higher than in multi-infarct dementiapatients in cerebral infarction patients and healthy controls, and showedstatistically significant (P <0.05),hint MA value may be independent riskfactors for MID.
