The Study On Self-compassion Of Emergency Nurse And The Related Factors

Objectives:By investigating the status of self-compassion of emergency nurses, evaluatedthe level and discussed the influencing factors of their self-compassion level, came upwith countermeasures or suggests to improve the level of nurse self-compassion fornursing educators and clinical nursing managers on intervention.Results:This research adopts the convenience sapling method. From July toOctober,2014,235eligible and agreeable emergency nurse in Changchun city wereselected as research object. It use self-prepared answer sheet and Chinese version ofSelf-compassion Scale(SCS) for survey. It utilized EpiData3.1and SPSS19.0tomanage and analysis data. Applied mean, standard deviation, frequency, andpercentage to statistical description, employed T test, analysis of variance, andmultiple stepwise regression analysis.Result:1.The gross score of the level on the self-compassion was106.13±9.84，thepercentage of conversion of a score was81.64%（＞80%）,in the middle level. Thescore in Self-Kindness was19.42±3.85，the Self-Judgment was19.64±3.50，theCommon-Humanity was17.08±2.59，the Isolation was16.81±2.49，the Mindfulnesswas16.44±2.16，the Over-identified was16.73±2.04。2.The scores of the self-compassion of emergency nurses in different age, maritalstatus, employment form, the last degrees, income, income satisfaction, workexperience and titles with statistical difference（P<0.05）。3. Multiple regression analysis showed that the main influencing factors werethe income satisfaction, the work experience and the titles. Conclusions:1.The overall status on the self-compassion of emergency nurses is good. But theMindfulness and the Over-identified items were lower than others. The ability ofmindfulness needs to be improved.2. The main influencing factors of the self-compassion of emergency nurses werethe income satisfaction, the work experience and the titles. The nurses who on theincome satisfaction, more than20years and deputy director or above titles were thestrongest. Income satisfaction is one of the important factors affecting theself-compassion of emergency nurses.3. According to the survey and the main influencing factors,take correspondingstrategies to improve the self-compassion of emergency nurses, including appropriateimprove the nurses’ pay; to cultivate the ability of positive and mindfulness.
