Objective:The essay is to evaluate the clinical effect of the Yangxuejieyutang in treating senile skin pruritus, which belongs to blood deficiency and wind dryness pattern in Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM), through observing clinical effects.Methods:In accordance with the principles of randomized controlled,65cases who met the inclusion criteria were divided into two groups.33cases in the treatment group treated by the Yangxuejieyutang,32cases in the control group treated with oral Cetirizine Hydrochloride Tablets. Both of groups used the shehuang ointment as external preparation. After4weeks’ treatment, evaluating the treatment effect. All datas were analyzed with the software of SPSS17.0for windows.Results:After4weeks treatment, the treatment group total effective rate was81.25%, the control group total effective rate was70.00%, there was no significant difference between the two groups in curative effect(P<0.05). Relieve the itching symptoms the two groups had no significant difference(P>0.05), in the improvement of symptoms, the treatment group was better than the control group(P<0.05).The course of treatment, two groups of patients with no serious adverse reaction occurred.Conclusion:The study showed that both the treatment group and control group in the treatment of senile skin pruritus (blood deficiency and wind dryness pattern) are effective.
