Objective: To determine pulmonary hypertension associated with connective tissuedisease in patients with echocardiographic parameters including left ventricularejection fraction (LVEF), left atrium (LA), left ventricular (LV), right atrium (RA),right ventricular (RV), interventricular septum thickness (IVS), left ventricular wallthickness (LVPW) and systolic pulmonary artery pressure (SPAP) and analyze thecharacteristic of pulmonary hypertension associated with connective tissue disease andprovide condition assessment and prognostic value for clinical use. Methods: It was that12cases of pulmonary hypertension in patients with connectivetissue disease,21cases of non-connective tissue disease of patients with pulmonaryhypertension and21cases of normal control group were selected randomly. Thoseselected objects were set CTD+PAH group, nCTD+PAH group and normal controlgroup correspondingly.Color Doppler ultrasound was used for patients in each group tomeasure left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF), left atrium (LA), left ventricular (LV),right atrium (RA)(including upper and lower tracks and trails around), right ventricular(RV), interventricular septal thickness (IVS), left ventricular wall thickness (LVPW) and systolic pulmonary artery pressure (SPAP).Results:1. LA, RA, RV and IVS compared respectively in three groups were statistically sign-ificant.LA were larger in CTD+PAH group and nCTD+PAH group than that innormal control group (P <0.05).The results were consistent with RA vertical diameter,RA trails around and RV compared respectively in three groups. The order was nCTD+PAH group, CTD+PAH group and normal control group; CTD+PAH group and theother two groups were statistically significant (P <0.05); there was significant statisticalsignificance between nCTD+PAH group and normal control group(P <0.01).IVS werelarger in CTD+PAH group and nCTD+PAH group than that in normal control group(P <0.05).2. EF compared in three groups was not statistically significant (P>0.05).3. LA and SPAP had a positive correlation in three groups (r=0.650, P <0.05). Therewas a positive correlation between RA vertical diameter and SPAP(r=0.811, P <0.05).RA transverse diameter was positively correlated with SPAP(r=0.820, P <0.05). RVand SPAP were positively correlated(r=0.768, P <0.05). IVS and SPAP werepositively correlated(r=0.592, P <0.05).Conclusion:1. Pulmonary hypertension in patients take place heart conformational change, whichpulmonary hypertension associated with connective tissue disease in patients change inless than non-connective tissue disease of patients with pulmonary hypertensionsignificantly. Both of them mainly cause the expansion of right atrium and rightventricle, while the left ventricle conformational change is not obvious.2. LA, RA, RV and IVS have positively correlation with SPAP in patients with pulm-onary hypertension. Their value increases with the increase in pulmonary arterypressure.
