Objectives:1.To explore the evaluation of pulmonary artery systolic pressure(PASP) withthe change of age by echocardiography in healthy subjects.2. To explore the evaluation of left ventricular diastolic function with the changeof age by echocardiography in healthy subjects.3. To explore the correlation between pulmonary artery systolic pressure anddiastolic function in healthy subjects. Methods: The subjects who take were routine physical examination, ECG, X-raychest radiograph, echocardiography and biochemical examination divided into6groups according to their age, aged20-29(60cases),30-39(60cases),40-49(60cases),50-59(67cases),60-69(65cases) and70years or more(67cases) in inpatientdepartment of our hospital, for example, general surgery department, Urinary surgery, orthopedic department and so on. between March2012and Sep2012. A total is379healthy subjects, with normal echocardiographic findings and reliably measurabletricuspid regurgitation gradients in310subjects.1. Measure the height, weight, body mass index is calculated.2. Measured brachial artery blood pressure, pulse pressure is calculated under thestate of calm.3. To observe the morphological structure of the heart, blood flow and ventricularwall motion.4. Measured left ventricular ejection fraction (EF) with Simpson method.5. PASP was estimated by continual wave doppler echocardiography using theBernoulli equation and right atrial pressure with the size of right atrium, Inferiorvena cava diameter and Inferior vena cava subsidence rate.tricuspid regurgitationwas quantitated.6. The blood flow velocity of mitral annulus during early diastole(E) by pulsedDoppler echocardiography and early diastolic mitral annulus the average velocityin lateral and septal (Em average)by Mitral valve annulus tissue doppler were also measured and E/Em average ratio was calculated. The ratio can estimate the LVdiastolic function.7. For the statistical analysis of the above groups of parameters.Results:1. Height, weight, gender, body mass index, systolic pressure, diastolic bloodpressure, pulse pressure, left ventricular ejection fraction (EF), mitral peak earlydiastolic E, late diastolic A change with the age difference is not significant (P>0.05)in the healthy people among all age groups.2. The PASP in healthy subjects was19.77±1.27mmHg in age20-29, The PASPwas21.63±1.92mmHg in age30-39,The PASP was21.24±5.32mmHg in age40-49,The PASP was22.21±4.16mmHg in age50-59, The PASP was22.62±4.75mmHg inage60-69,The PASP was24.27±4.80mmHgin age70or more,As the growth of theage, the PASP rised. The difference between age groups was statistically significant(P <0.001), The PASP and age regression equation was y=0.069x+18.499, PASP andage have positive correlation(r=0.25).3. As the growth of the age, tricuspid regurgitation in healthy subjectsincreased,over60years old age groups obviously. But, tricuspid regurgitation is notpositively correlated with PASP.4. LV diastolic function are decreasing with the growth of the age,DTI mitralvalve annulus septal and lateral Em reduced, E/Em average increased, The differencebetween age groups was statistically significant (P<0.001), The E/Em average andage regression equation was y=0.0791x+5.7723, E/Em average and age have positivecorrelation(r=0.57), The left ventricular diastolic function was negatively correlatedwith age.5. PASP and left ventricular end-diastolic pressure in healthy subjects has certainrelevance,The PASP and E/Em average have positive correlation(r=0.31), PASP risedand LV diastolic function decreased. Conclusion:The PASP rised and LV diastolic function decreased with the growth of theage, PASP increased with LV filling pressure,PASP and left ventricular end-diastolicpressure in healthy subjects has certain relevance,. Moreover the E/Em average ratio was independently predicting PASP.
