objective:Objective To discuss the value of SPECT brain perfusion imaging in the evaluation of rCBF improvement before and after moyamoya disease (MMD) bypass surgery Methods:Retrospective analysis was conducted for13patients with MMD (5children, aging from3to8years;8adults, aging from45to55years) to analyze their SPECT brain perfusion imaging data before and after therapy. Age-marched subjects who underwent brain perfusion imaging for accidental headache (10children,10adults) were used as control. Combining rCBF for the test of the control group and case group, the data of rCBF before and after surgery was compared and analyzed by two-sample of paired t test. The brain imaging was taken as reference along with the DSA and MRI follow-up visit situation of the patients after surgery. Results: Through visual test of the13cases in the case group,84.62%(11/13) had shown significant improvement in the blood perfusion reduction area after surgery, whose coincidence rate was72.73%(8/11) with DSA and81.82%(9/11) with MRI. The rCBF of the control group and case group was (51.19±1.63) and (38.83±2.22) ml·100g-1·min-1respectively (t=-18.465, P<005); The rCBF of the case group before and after surgery was different (45.03±2.63) ml·100g-1·min-1(t=-11.707, P<0.05); The rCBF of the case group after surgery and the control group was different (t=-8.313, P<0.05); The rCBF of children and adults in the control group was (51.81±1.82) and (50.55±1.18) ml·100g-1·min-1respectively, which showed no statistical significance (t=0.081, P>0.05). Conclusion:SPECT brain perfusion imaging could reflect the variance of blood flow of the ischemia brain tissue before and after MMD surgery well, which may help in the therapeutic evaluation of MMD surgery treatment.
