Objective: This research was conducted to investigate the clinicalepidemiological characteristics of hemorrhagic MMD.Mehtods: Analyzing the clinical data of212cases of hemorrhagic MMDpatients collected First Hospital of Jilin University admitted between January2006and September2011, summarizing the clinical epidemiologicalcharacteristics of hemorrhagic MMD.Results: Between2006and2011, the annual prevalence of hemorrhagicMMD increased year by year, there are212patients in all, with a minimumage of14years, the maximum age of84years, with an average age of47.66±11.50years, the ratio of male to female is close to1:1. There are116cases(54.7%) performancing SAH,25cases (11.8%)intraventricularhemorrhage,71cases (33.5%) Intracerebral hemorrhage; The most common ofthe onset of symptoms is headache associated with nausea and vomit involving130(61.3%) patients. On the time of admission, there are111cases (52.4%) inHunt-Huss grade Ⅰ,23cases (10.8%) in grade Ⅱ,51cases (24.1%) in gradeⅢ,24cases (11.3%) in grade Ⅳ,3cases (1.42%) in grade Ⅴ. There are110cases (51.9%) MMD patients involving unilateral and102patients (48.1%)involving bilateral; There are74cases (34.9%) patients with aneurysms whichinclude57cases (77.0%) anterior circulation aneurysms and17patients (23.0%)posterior circulation aneurysms. The most common site of aneurysm is theanterior communicating artery aneurysm involving32cases (36%). There are24.1%of patients with visible anterior choroidal and (or) the expansion of the posterior communicating artery. There are144cases (67.9%) treated byconservative treatment,68cases by surgical treatment (32.1%); On discharge, there are139patients (65.6%) in prognosis GOS score of5points,21cases(9.9%)in4points,28cases (13.2%) in3points,13cases (6.1%) in2points,11cases (5.2%) in1points.Conclusion:1. The number of hemorrhagic MMD and MMS patients increased year byyear, and the peak incidence is between the35to59years old, the ratio of maleto female is close to1:1.2. There are about1/3of hemorrhagic MMD and MMS patients withaneurysms, the most common type of bleeding is SAH.3. The MMD and MMS patients with a history of bleeding have poorprognosis of GOS score.4. The MMD and MMS patients mergering expansion of AChA and (or)PComA have higher proportion of with intracerebral hemorrhage andintraventricular hemorrhage.5. The MMD and MMS patients involving with bilateral are more prone tohaving posterior circulation aneurysms than those involving the unilateral.
