Objective:study traditional Chinese literature for the discussion of gall disease (thyroid disease), and for the initial exploration of clinical drug characteristics in traditional Chinese medicine gall disease.Methods:ln this pape,literature research methods of literature is used to collect literature of gall disease in each period which is from the Eastern Han Dynasty to the Republic of China. Guided by Chinese literature experts and clinical experts,read the text carefully to select thyroid disease-related literature,and summary drug content that literature involved.The drug content includes the commonly used herbs which arranged in pairs and their effectiveness classification.The main frequency of drug use and compatibility and the effectiveness of distribution as well as Meridian,all of these belongs to the category of drug content. Combining the Discussion of pathogenesis produced by Traditional Chinese Medicine,which is based on the observation of gall disease (thyroid disease), for an ultimate goal of exploring Clinical Medication Features.The results and conclusions:(1) For the treatment of nodules and phlegm and blood stasis as well as qi stagnation, These drugs occupy the the maximum proportion of Prescription,and this common phenomenon can be found out in the literature of Traditional Chinese Medicine which Involved the treatment of gall disease (thyroid disease).This phenomenon is also in line with the understanding of TCM pathogenesis.(2) Traditional Chinese Medicine focus on exorcism,while other methods can be utilized,such as replenishing qi and blood,and warming yang.(3) Screening five Drug Compatibility commonly used.(4)Summary the herbs high-frequency used, analyze its characteristics.(5) Found two herbs with clinical potential,namely Usnea and bulbifera.(6) Summed up the Meridian of herbs.
