| Objective: To study the effect of two minimally invasive surgical treatment materials,Varnish XT and ICON resin infiltration, on the color and surface micro-hardness ofenamel caries white spot. Methods:100incisors of cow were selected, leaving lip sidedown as the observation side, ethoxyline resin embedded, and polished. Exposed an areaof at least6mm×10mm on the enamel face, and divided into A, B, C, D, E five regions,and after treated with demineralization liquid for artificial caries, respectively adopted notreatment for A region, treatment with Varnish XT for B region, treatment with ICON resininfiltration for C region, treatment with fluoride for D region, and use antiacid nail polishsealing before demineralization. Electronic spectrophotometer measured L*value, andmicrohardness meter test of the surface micro-hardness of each regions. Results: Afterdemineralization L*value of A, B, C, D of all samples increases remarkably; Aftertreatment, L*values of B, C, D of all samples decreased compared with A region, and ithas statistical significance(P<0.05); Meanwhile C<B<D for L*values with statisticalsignificance(P<0.05); The difference of L*value between B, D and E has statisticalsignificance; There is no statistical significance of L*value between C andE(P>0.05).Based on test of the surface micro-hardness of each regions, after treatment,SMH of A, B, C, D of all samples decreases remarkably. SMH of B, C, D of all samplesincreased compared with A region, Meanwhile C>B and D for SMH with statisticalsignificance(P<0.05); There is no statistical significance of SMH between B andD(P>0.05). Conclusion: ICON resin infiltration and Varnish XT has obviousimprovement effect on white spot of caries, and they are superior to fluoride. Moreover,ICON penetrating resin is superior to Varnish XT. ICON resin infiltration, Varnish XT andfluoride has obvious improvement effect on SMH, and ICON resin infiltration is superiorto Varnish XT and fluoride. |
