Purpose:To observe and compare the clinical effect of lateral rectus paralysis by electroacupuncture treatment and routine westen medicine treatment..Method:In this study, we were chosen90patients visited the Bethune Second Hospital of Jilin University from January2013to January2014according to the diagnostic criteria, inclusion criteria and exclusion criteria of lateral rectus paraysis. These patients were from the acupuncture out-patient clinic, ophthalmology, neurology, neurosurgery and endocrinology of the hospital. All the90patients of lateral rectus paralysis were distributed by random to treat group (45cases) with electroacupuncture treatment and control group (45cases) with routine westen medicine treatment, with a treatment course of15days, a course of an interval of3days,the therapeutic effects were evaluated after two courses.Result:a. There are no significant differences on the age, gender and course of disease of the two groups (P>0.05), the research is comparable.b. Results total effective rate in the treatment group and the control group was88.9%and71.1%, respectively. According to the efficacy comparation, there was statisticl significance between the two groups (p<0.05).Conclusion:The results of this study indicated that both the treatment group and the control group are efficacy on the treatment of lateral rectus paralysis, but the efficacy of electroacupuncture treatment of lateral rectus paralysis is better, and it’s easier to operate, with minimal side effects.
