System Review Of The Effectiveness Of Activating Blood And Calming Wind In The Treatment Of Migraine

Purpose: Objective to assess the efficacy and safety of HuoxueXifeng method in the treatment of migraine, to provide evidence for traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of migraine.Method: Through the computer to find the clinical research literature about the Huoxue Xifeng method in the treatment of migraine. Electronic databases including CNKI journal full text database(CNKI), VIP Chinese Journal Database(VIP), Chinese biomedical literature database(CBM Web),Cochrane Library, EMbase and PubMed. Setting the inclusion and exclusion criteria, select qualified literature. Firstly, evaluate the quality of included literature,including random method, allocation concealment and blinding, follow-up. Then using the Cochrane collaboration’s RevMan5.3 software, carries on the Meta analysis of included studies.Result:1. Literature quality evaluation results:In 29 articles, 28 for RCT,1 for CCT, 1 for incomplete data. A total of 30 randomized clinical study in 29 articles were analyzed by Meta. According to the modified JADAD score standard of quality score,90% for low quality literature,10% for high quality of literature.2. The results of mete analysis:A total of 9 RCT for migraine treated by Huoxue Xifeng and other traditional Chinese medicine contrast research, 4 of which have the same curative effect judgment standard. Meta analysis shows that the research has good homogeneity, using a fixed effects model(FixedEffect Model) with effect, the clinical efficacy of the two groups has statistical significance(P<0.00001), and the clinical curative effect of Huoxue Xifeng and other traditional Chinese medicine therapy in treating migraine. 3 articles in the course of treatment was 8 weeks in the subgroup analysis, the Meta analysis results showed that the group has taken the homogeneity, the fixed effect model with statistics, Huoxue Xifeng method in the treatment of migraine at 8 weeks, clinical curative effect is obviously superior to other traditional Chinese medicine.A total of 7 articles with fluorine Flunarizine as control drugs, treatment for 4-8 weeks.Subgroup analysis according to different dosage Flunarizine. The amount of 10 mg 1 times a day in the literature, 3 articles on the curative effect judgment standard according to the method of standard of diagnosis and therapeutic effect of TCM. The forest map display: with the homogeneity between groups, using fixed effect model analysis, results showed that:Huoxue Xifeng migraine treated by 4-8 weeks is more efficient than the 10 mg Flunarizine control group, long-term effect is better than that of the positive control group.The flunarizine was 5mg 1 times a day in the literature, 4 studies of the efficacy criterion referenced "migraine diagnosis, curative effect evaluation standard" integral method. The forest map display: with the homogeneity between groups, using fixed effect model analysis,results showed that: Huoxue Xifeng migraine treated by 4-8 weeks is more efficient than the5 mg Flunarizine control group, long-term effect is better than that of the positive control group.Conclusion: Meta analysis showed that Huoxue Xifeng method in the treatment of migraine clinical curative effect is better than that of other traditional Chinese medicine or Flunarizine. In the literature have low quality generally, the possible bias may affect the reliability of the results. Expect high quality randomized clinical trials to to confirm the results.
