Clinical Observation On Treating Paroxysmal Atrial Fibrillation(qi Deficiency And Blood Stasis,wind Phlegm Disturbance Pulse) With Xifeng Zhiji Decoction

Purpose: To observe the clinical effect of Xifeng Zhiji Decoction for paroxysmal atrial fibrillation(qi deficiency and blood stasis, wind phlegm disturbance pulse), assess the efficacy and safety objectively.Method: A total of 72 patients with paroxysmal atrial fibrillation were divided into two groups stochastically, 36 cases in each group. Control group was given Shensongyangxin caplues. Patients in treatment group were given Xifeng Zhiji Decoction. Eight weeks of treatment, follow-up of six months. All patients were comparing the pre-treatment and post-treatment index including episodes of paroxysmal atrial fibrillation, TCM symptoms score, Quality of Life Scale, comprehensive assessment of patient outcomes.Result: To compared two groups of patients with episodes of paroxysmal atrial fibrillation, TCM symptoms score, Quality of Life Scale, there was no statistical difference in treatment phase(P>0.05); there was significant difference in follow-up phase(P<0.05), the curative effect of treatment group was better than control group. Among them, there was significant statistical difference in the number of episodes of paroxysmal atrial fibrillation(P<0.01).Conclusion: Xifeng Zhiji Decoction can significantly reduce patients’ recurrence rate of paroxysmal atrial fibrillation, lessen clinical TCM symptoms, improve patients’ quality of life.It’s so safe and effective that is worth further study.
