Clinical Research Of The Wen Xin Soup For Patients With Heart Failure

Objective: To observe therapeutic efficacy of the wen xin soup for patients with heart failure. Methods: Totally 60 patients with heart failure were assigned to 2 groups, treatment group 30 cases and control group 30 cases.The treatment group was treated with wen xin tang as well as western medicine,while the control group was only treated with western medicine.One weeks later,we observed the effect on the patients.We observed points of traditional Chinese medicine syndromes, therapeutic efficacy(based on the standard Lee’s failure score method) and clinical classification of cardiac function and UA in the blood before and after the treatment. Result: Therapeutic efficacy rate was 86.67% in treatment group, 80.00% in control group involved in NYHA, the difference was nosignificant between the treatment group and the control group(P>0.05).Therapeutic efficacy rate was 90.00% in treatment group, 76.67% in control group according to traditional Chinese medicine syndromes, the difference was significant between the treatment group and the control group(P<0.05). As for the standard Lee’s failure score, therapeutic efficacy rate was 86.67% in treatment group, 70.00% in control group, and comparison between two sets was also statistical significance with P<0.05. After treatment the level of UA was reduced in the two group;the level of UA in the treatment group was lower than in the control group,the difference was significant(P<0.05). Conclusion: Wen xin tang has good effects on the heart failure patients,and no side-effect s are found..
