Objective:To investigate the change of prevalence and prognosis of chronic kidney disease in hypertension in the Uygur, using two cross-sectional surveys in 2007 and 2013. Methods:We had conducted an epidemiological survey of chronic kidney disease in Uygur adults from 15 villages in 3 rural towns of Moyu county in 2007. The population were randomly selected by using a stratified, multistage sampling and were investigated again in 2013, a comparison between the two surveys of hypertension population was performed. Results:The prevalence of hypertension was 37.4% in 2007 and 41.3%in 2013,the difference was statistically significant(χ2=40.951,P<0.001). The incidence of hypertension was 10.3%.The prevalence of CKD in hypertension increased from 8.9% to 11.6%, the difference was statistically significant (χ2=4.410,P=0.036).The prevalence of CKD increased with age increment. Within the 6 years, the mortality rates of the hypertension and non-hypertension population were 5.3% and 2.6%,the difference was statistically significant(χ2=7.518,P=0.006). Hypertension complicated with or without CKD mortality rates were 16.0% and 4.3%, the difference was statistically significant (χ2=10.174,P=0.001). The mortality rates of the hypertension population with isolated albuminuria or reduced eGFR were 12.1% and 18.2%, respectively. While, in hypertension population with combined albuminuria and reduced eGFR, the mortality rates was 33.3%. Conclusions:The prevalence of CKD in hypertension increased with age increment among Uygur Adults in Moyu county. Hypertension complicated with CKD mortality rates was significantly higher than that the isolated hypertension population.
