Clinical Obserbation Of The Warm Acupuncture Treatment For Shoulder-Hand Syndrome After Stroke

[OBJECTIVE]To investigate the therapeutic effect to shoulder-hand syndrome of warm acupuncture. Seek a simple and effective acupuncture treatment for the disease. By comparing the before treatment score and after treatment score of simple Fugl-Meyer assessment scale, pain visual analog scale, swelling score, shoulder hand syndrome scale score of the warm acupuncture and normal acupuncture treatments.[METHODS] 60 patients who were comply with the inclusion criteria were randomly divided into two groups:warm acupuncture group (treatment group) and ordinary acupuncture group (control group).The 30 patients in treatment group were mainly treated with warm acupuncture. Treat as 1 time a day,10 days for 1 course, a total of 2 courses. And the 30 patients in control group were mainly treated with normal acupuncture. Treat as 1 time a day,10 days for 1 course, a total of 2 courses. The two groups were treated with conventional therapy after stroke. Use simple Fugl-Meyer assessment scale, pain visual analog scale, swelling score, shoulder hand syndrome scale score to measure the score before and after the treatment. To evaluation the changes of the upper limb movement function, pain and life function of the two groups. And evaluate the effect according to the score.[RESULTS] All data processed by SPSS18.0. The two groups all have good curative effect after treatment. Before the treatment, there are no big difference between the two group of the score of simple Fugl-Meyer assessment scale, pain visual analog scale, swelling score, shoulder hand syndrome scale score. The two groups are comparability. After the treatment, the score of simple Fugl-Meyer assessment scale of two groups are all improved. And the score of pain visual analog scale, swelling score, shoulder hand syndrome scale score of two groups are all lower. The p<0.05 by compare with the two groups. This explain that the clinical symptoms of shoulder hand syndrome after stroke were treated by two treatment, but the effect of the treatment group were better than the control group.[CONCLUSION] 1. Warm acupuncture can improve the pain and swelling symptoms of the shoulder hand syndrome after stroke. It can also improve the upper limb motor function of the patients. Warm acupuncture has better clinical effect for the shoulder hand syndrome after stroke.2.The clinical effect of warm acupuncture of shoulder hand syndrome after stroke is better than ordinary acupuncture.
