The Quality Of Life And Its Influence Factors Of Patients After Implantation Of Cardiac Pacemaker

Research backgroundClinical application of pacemaker to improve the symptoms of patients with arrhythmia, reduce mortality and prolong the life of patients played a very important role. Following pacemaker implantation, both at home and abroad study focused only on quality of life survey of its living conditions, and the lack of influence factors of postoperative life quality of patients with pacemaker implantation systems, multidimensional analysis and research.Research purposeUsing the Medical Outcomes Study:36-Item Short Form Survey Instrument providing the theoretical basis of improving the quality of life of patients after the implantation of cardiac pacemaker; Evaluate the quality of life and explore its influence factors of the patients after the implantation of cardiac pacemaker.Materials and methodsSelf-control before and after trials were conducted in this study.196 patients were recruited from three hospitals in Tai’an City, Shandong province, China by random. After obtaining informed consent, Patients were required to complete a questionnaire survey by SF-36 and a designed general information questionnaire. To analysis the data with SPSS 17.0 software. The description of the scores of quality of life using mean ± standard deviation, The comparison of the quality of life between one months after the implantation of cardiac pacemaker and before the implantation, using independent sample t-tests, the analysis of the factors that affect the quality of life after the implantation of cardiac pacemaker using one-factor ANOVA and multiple regression analysis.Main ResultsAll the scores of SF-36 one month after the implantation of cardiac pacemaker are higher than the scores before, having significant statistical difference(P<0.05). There are no correlation that sex、education、economic conditions with the quality of life of patients after the implantation of cardiac pacemaker, there are multiple correlation that age、marital status、the NYHA functional classification and the type of cardiac pacemaker with the quality of life after the treatment, the multiple correlation coefficient is 0.419.Conclusions and suggestsPacemaker could significantly improve the quality of life of patients with poor outcome of medication; age、marital status、the NYHA functional classification and the type of cardiac pacemaker are the major factors that influenced the quality of life of patients after the implantation of cardiac pacemaker; We should take mental intervention on the patients who live alone and elder and give more support from family; We should still pay attention to the improvement of the NYHA functional classification of the patients after implantation of cardiac pacemaker; We should select Dual-chamber pacemaker as much as possible for patients.Providing holistic nursing for patients include body, mind, social and spiritual, When we nurse the patients after implantation of cardiac pacemaker, the most important is provide professional nursing observation and rehabilitation guidance, timely observation and prevention of common complications after implantation of cardiac pacemaker and protect the safety of patients effectively.Second, pay attention to take good care of psychology of patients, reduce patient anxiety, fear, helplessness, as soon as possible to help patients accept to be implanted pacemaker psychologically. Finally, take good care of the life of patients, promote comfort and maintain dignity of patients.
