observe the method, of strengthening the spleen、 detoxification、freeing the network vessels 、 eliminating dampness and sick water, on improving effect of clinical symptoms and survival Prognosis of Gastrointestinal Cancer Patients with malignant ascites. Methods :From January 2009 to December 2014,clinical data of 52(124 times) Gastrointestinal Cancer patients with malignant ascites receiving treatment in TCM Oncology Anhui Provincial Hospital were included in this study.Curative effect analysis was conducted using SPSS 17.0 statistical software. Survival analysis was performed using Kaplan-Meier method; factors influencing survival were analyzed using univariate(Log-rank) and multivariate(Cox) models. Results :The median overall survival was 3.0 months. In univariate analysis,KPS score, Whether the merger Pleural effusion, volume of malignant effusion, liver metastasis, thera Peutic method and the level of hemoglobin, albumin,bilirubin,D-D,especially Oral Chinese Medicine, were significant factors affecting the survival(all P < 0.05). Multivariate analysis showed that liver metastases, albumin, therapeutic method were independent prognostic factors. Upon stratified analysis of efficacy, KPSscore, liver metastasis, therapeutic method and the level of D-D affect the control of malignant effusions. And stratified analysis of the improvement of TCM syndromes revealed that KPS score, liver metastasis, bilirubin, therapeutic method, and especially orally Chinese medicine, could be the Influence factors. Conclusion :1. By Oral Chinese Medicine about detoxification、dispelling blood stasis and free the network vessels, then activating blood circulation and eliminating dampness and sick water, the improvement of TCM syndromes and survival are a strong affirmative(P=0.001;P=0.044); the improvement of the control of malignant effusions is remarkable(P=0.076).2. The higher KPS score, without liver metastasis, normal bilirubin, suitable therapeutic method, and especially orally Chinese medicine, have a much better improvement of TCM Syndromes. The higher KPS score, without liver metastasis, suitable therapeutic method and normal D-D have a better control of malignant effusion. The liver metastasis and hypoproteinemia are associated with poor prognosis in patients of Gastrointestinal Cancer with malignant ascites, and the survival time could be prolonged by systematic and intraperitoneal chemotherapy.
