Yiqi Sanjie Decoction Combined With Chemotherapy In Clinical Studies Of Esophageal Cancer Patients’ Quality Of Life

Objective:To investigate“Yiqi Sanjie decoction”combined with postoperative chemotherapy of Esophageal. Compared with chemotherapy alone, whether it can improve the quality of life for patients, increase KPS scores and body weight, reduce scores of TCM syndrome, reduce the side effects of chemotherapy, enhancing immune function and provide clinical evidence for medical treatment with chemotherapy in the future.Methods:From June 2013 to December 2014, at the First Affiliated Hospital of Anhui University of TCM,collecting the case history of postoperative patients in oncology.Patients are divided into two groups according to the principle of balanced design.The group of chemotherapy alone(control group) and“Yiqi Sanjie decoction”for the test group(treatment group),each of them have 30 patients.Asses the changes that the quality of life of patients after treatment.Observating KPS scores, changes of weight,scores of TCM syndrome,the side effects of chemotherapy, the changes of CD4,CD8 and CD4/CD8 after treatment.Results:The QOL scores of two groups have no apparent change before treatment(P>0.05).QOL scores have statistical significant after treatment(P=0.028<0.05).Compared with KPS scores in the treatment group and the control group, P<0.05,with a statistical difference. About weight of patients in the treatment group, 15 cases were increased, 12 cases were stable, 3 cases were decreased, whereas the control group were 7,14,19.According to rank sum,Z=-2.437.The difference was statistically significant(P=0.015<0.05).In the treatment group and the control group, the total efficiency of TCM syndrome scores are 80% and 53.3%, P<0.05.represented by scorest.P<0.01, which have significant difference. In the toxicities,Z=-2.101,P=0.036<0.05, the difference was statistically significant.Compare with the situation of nausea and vomiting the,the difference was statistically significant(Z=-2.080, P=0.038<0.05).The aspect of Hb,PLT,ALT,AST,BUN,Cr,diarrhea and infections was not statistically significant(P>0.05). Evaluation of immune function in the two groups,difference was not significant(P>0.05)before treatment,the difference was significant(P<0.05) after treatment.Conclusion:Compared with chemotherapy alone, “Yiqi Sanjie decoction” combined with postoperative chemotherapy can relieve the TCM syndrome, increase weight, enhance immune function,and reduce side effects of chemotherapy.It mainly exhibits in the espects that reducing the leukocyte in myelosuppression as well as the reaction of nausea and vomiting. In the end,improving the quality of life of patients.
