The purpose of the study: This topic mainly regards diagnosis and treatment experience and the characteristics of medicine of stroke disease treated by the ancient and modern Xinan physicians as the research content, in order to better inherit and carry forward the characteristics on stroke disease diagnosis and treatment in Xinan medicine and provide reference to further research about other single disease as well.The research methods: In this paper, through consulting a large number of relevant documents of diagnosis and treatment on stroke disease, systematically further studying Xinan medical works and subjects about the treatment of stroke disease, reviewing 158 cases with serious comments, establish relevant medical works database system,classifying and summarizing the type of syndrome differentiation, drugs and prescriptions, trying to make a comprehensive analyse on Xinan physicians’ characteristics on syndrome differentiation and features on using drugs about stroke disease.Research results:1.Summarize the predecessors’ achievements on Xinan medical research in the aspects of diagnosis and treatment about stroke disease, put forward the problems that should be further discussed on the basis;2.Review 158 cases of stroke disease treated by Xinan physicians and selected according to the national standard of stroke disease, set up related database, analyze the regular pattern of stroke type distribution, prescriptions and drugs used widely and its application characteristics in the current clinic, summarize Xinan physicians’ characteristics in the treatment of stroke;3.Compare the statistical and study results with modern clinical research on stroke disease, put forward recommendations that the treatment characteristic of Xinan physicians on stroke disease can be applied into clinic.Research conclusions:1.Take deficiency seriously,tonic is dominant medicine in stroke disease;2.Eliminating phlegm and promoting blood circulation are the most important in the empirical;3.Use of food and medicine, especially has its own characteristics;4.Compared with modern clinic, Xinan physicians hold eliminating pathogens in filling.
