Objective To observe the clinical curative effect of superficial acupuncture treatment of Qi stagnation and Blood stasis type of postherpetic neuralgia. Methods We selected 62 cases of postherpetic neuralgia patients included in the study, according to the standard from 2013 March to 2015 February. The 62 cases were randomly divided into treatment group and control group, Two groups each had 31 cases. The treatment group used the superficial needle therapy and 1 times a day,10 times for a course of treatment. After 3 days rest, To continue with the second course of treatment. The control group was treated with Mecobalamin therapy with 1 tablets each time,3 times a day,10 days for a course of treatment and continuous treatment of 2 courses. The two groups were treated for two courses. Before and after the treatment were scored for pain by Short-form of McGill pain questionnaire(MPQ). And to evaluate the curative effect according to the score. After treatment, recording the time of pain relief, in hours as the units of measurement and evaluating the analgesic onset time. Results 1.There were significant differences in MPQ scores before and after treatment (P<0.01).It explained the two groups were effective. And the efficacy of the treatment group was better than control group(P<0.05).2. The total effective rate was 90% in treatment group and 70% in control group. The total efficiency is significant difference (P>0.05).It shows the total effective rate of the treatment group is better than the control group.3. The two groups after treatment pain onset time were significant difference (P< 0.05), the treatment group pain onset time shorter than the control group. Conclusion 1.The effect of shallow acupuncture treatment of Qi stagnation and Blood stasis type of postherpetic neuralgia was significantly better than oral mecobalamin.2.Superficial needle treatment of Qi stagnation and Blood stasis type of postherpetic neuralgia is better than that of mecobalamin from the onset time of of pain relief.3.The shallow needling therapy is an effective method for treatment of postherpetic neuralgia with a painless, non-invasive damage, non-toxic side effects.
