Objective: Research of liver cell regeneration phosphatase- 3(phosphatase of regenerating liver- 3, PRL – 3) in esophageal squamous cell carcinomas(esophageal squamous cell carcinoma, ESCC) expression in the organization, and as well as its relationship with clinicopathological features of ESCC.Methods: By immunohistochemical(Immunology and Histology Chemistry, IHC)methods testing 59 cases of ESCC tissues and 18 cases of tissue adjacent to carcinoma in the expression of PRL- 3, further analysis of PRL- 3 and ESCC of the correlation between clinical pathological features.Results:1. PRL- 3 in ESCC tissues and tissue adjacent to carcinoma in the positive expression rate was 94.9%(56/59), 11.1%(2/18), and compared the differences statistically significant(χ2= 47.7, P < 0.05). 2.PRL- 3 the expression level of negative correlation with ESCC pathological differentiation degree, and the patients’ age, sex, tumor size, tumor size, tumor TNM staging, and presence of lymph node metastasis and no significant correlation.Conclusion:PRL-3 expression increased in ESCC tissues and correlated with the clinical pathologic differentiation degree of tumor. Prompt PRL3 protein expression may be associated with malignant degree of ESCC, can be used as biomarkers in the diagnosis of ESCC.
